Chapter 27

JADE P.O.V

It is the day after the one where I discussed my plans to propose to Perrie in front of everyone at the O2 arena, including most of our family and friends!

I decided to be traditional and give Debbie a call. I would rather do it face to face, but we have a show in Cardiff tonight so I can't get to South Shields and back in time for the show.

After a few rings, Debbie picks up.

"Hello?" She asks.

"Hi Debbie it's me." I reply.

"Oh hi Jade, what can I help you with?"

"Well I just needed your permission for something.."

"Ok, what is it?"

"Well, I-" I stutter.

"C'mon Jade, what is it?" Debbie encouraged me.

"I really love your daughter Debbie, and I wanted your permission to ask her to marry me."

There were a few moments of silence on the other side of the line, so I decided to step in.

"If you don't give me it, I understand-" I told her.

"No, no! I'm shocked that's all! Honestly you have my 100% permission!"

"Really? Thanks Debbie, I won't let you down!"

"I know you won't Jade, I can see how much you love each other."

"I really do love her, that's why I want to marry her. The only thing I worry about is that if she doesn't love me as much back, and will say no-"

"You stop right there Jade! I've never seen Perrie so happy before, and that's all a mother could ask for. I always knew she felt something for you since the start of Little Mix. I could tell there was always something off about her and Zayn, and I secretly hoped they wouldn't get married, and you would. She loves you with all of her heart Jade, and so do you, you don't need to worry about that.."

"Wow, thanks!" I replied, getting a little teary eyed.

"No problem sweetie, have you got any plans for the proposal yet?"

"Yeah I do actually, it's going to be at the end of our final tour date at the O2, so all of our family and friends and 20,000 fans will be there.. I'm also going to sing her a song I wrote for her when I asked her to be my girlfriend with the help of Jesy and Leigh, and yeah that's basically it."

"That's beautiful Jade, honestly. Have you got a ring yet?"

"Ah, that's where you come in.."

"What do you need me for?"

"Well knowing the paparazzi, they would ruin the surprise if I went to a jewellery shop and came out with a little box, so it would be great if you could look through the rings on the email I just sent you and pick your favourite, and for you to pick it up if that's ok?"

"Sure thing, I'm just opening up the email now..." she said, pausing to look through the rings, "I like the third one, with the three diamonds and the one in the middle the biggest."

"Great that's the one I was going to buy, I'll just transfer the £22,000 for it into your bank account and you can order it?"
