Rose's POV
Me and Tamaki are standing at the door, Grandmother's car just pulled up to the house. I paint a smile on my face. The door opens and me and Tamaki both look over at our 'dear' Grandmother that we both 'love so very much'. I hate that woman.
"Welcome Grandmother." We both say happily.
"Hello Rosanna, Tamaki." She says, nodding to each of us.
"It's lovely seeing you again Grandmother." I say.
"It's been so long." Tamaki says.
"I must speak with you Rosanna." She says and I nod.
"Of course Grandmother." I say and the two of us walk into the living room and sitting down.
"Do you know why I'm not allowing you to go to your mother's funeral?" She asks.
"Because I agreed never to see my mother for the rest of my life." I say.
"Yes and because it would be useless to see her. Plus you abandoned your mother." She says and stands up, walking away. My smile drops. How could she be so down right awful? I took a moment to compose myself again and plaster my smile back on and walked into the other room where Tamaki, Father and Grandmother are. I sat next to Tamaki on the couch. Father was sitting in one chair and Grandmother was in the other. The fireplace was lit, giving off a warm glow to the room. I had always liked this room, it's cozy. Normally it is at least, Grandmother ruins any sort of comfort.
"That's quite an interesting proposal." Father said to Grandmother and turned to me and Tamaki.
"You're Grandmother thinks you should be the next head of the business, Rosanna." He says. I glance over at Tamaki and see his smile falter.
"That wouldn't be fair to Tamaki though. He is older than I am. Plus, he excels at his studies.... most of the time." I say in his defence.
"You would be much more reasonable and think everything through, plus you excel at all of your studies and anything else you put your mind too. I've made up my mind. I want you to be the head of your father's business." Grandmother says, staring me down just daring me to argue with her. This isn't the time to fight this though, I have to wait.
"A-alright." I say and Father and Grandmother go back to talking. I turn to Tamaki.
"Rose!" Tamaki whispers sounding mad at me.
"Tamaki I-" I started to say, but he just shook his head and turned away from me.
"Tamaki, Rosanna you two should go home." Father says and we nod.
"Yes father, goodbye Grandmother." We say and walk outside where a car it waiting to take us home. The drive is quick. When we get there I go up to my room, knowing Tamaki is mad at me. I change into red sweatpants and a black tank-top. I take out my phone, laying on my bed, and text Kyoya
Rose: Hey
Kyoya: Hey. How did it go w/ ur Grandmother???
Rose: Horrible! She's a witch! She said I'm gonna take over my father's business and then Tamaki get rly mad at me
Kyoya: Don't worry Rose, Tamaki will calm down by the end of the week
Rose: I know, but still, I don't want to run my father's business!
Kyoya: I'm sure you'll be great at it, plus it's years away
Rose: You're right. Thx Kyoya
Kyoya: No problem Rose, love u
Rose: Love u 2
I turn off my phone and close my eyes. Maybe I won't wake up in the morning. Maybe I can just sleep forever. That would be nice....
