one week later

"Oh spring break. It's been so much fun." Nathan said blankly looking at the black tv screen sitting beside me on the couch. His legs were on the cushion his head planted on the floor the blood flowing up to his brain. I chuckled softly taking my eyes off my phone. Nathan's head slowly turned towards me.

"Let's do something. Aren't you tired of looking at your phone?" He sighs groaning loudly. I shake my head, he didn't even look not acknowledging my answer. k.

Nathan sat up and looked at me shaking his own head. "I didn't think I'd have to do this." He sat beside me crossing his legs on the couch.

I looked at him oddly not sure what he meant. So I shut my phone off giving him my full attention. "So how was your first kiss?" He asks eagerly. "Nathan." I said softly trying to act as normal as possible.

He nods rapidly. "I haven't had my first kiss yet. Still a lip virgin." I lied.I was going to lie. For him, especially him, to know that Liam kissed me would make me look repulsive. I kissed him. And I liked it.

"Yeah right! Don't lie. We all saw you two making out in the kitchen. You both basically fucked on the counter." Nathan shrieked out, Macy came from the kitchen watching me and Nathan have this discussion.

I shook my head. "You're crazy. That - it didn't happen!" I mostly tried to convince myself it was a dream because that's what it felt like, a complete fantasy.

"Honey, don't play dumb I have it on video." Nathan pulled out his phone smirking at me. I grabbed it and threw it on the floor not wanting to see myself kissing or making out with Liam.

"Okay it happened! And I haven't spoken about it with him since it happened so please let's just not talk about it." I insist. Nathan nods but than a burst of excitement rushes through him. "But how was it kissing the man of MY - I mean YOUR dreams." His grin was wide and eager.

"Nathan please. He has a girlfriend, he didn't introduce us to her just because." I say softly playing with my thumbs. Nathan had a look of anger mixed with shock spread across his ugly ole face.

"He brought a girl named KAREN PIPERS. That name sound familiar? Oh and to top it all off she had red hair and a killer smile, GREEN EYES! Carson if I'm not mistaken Liam has a huge thing for you. The only thing he fucked up was the fact that she was as a dumb as a twig." Nathan lectured.

I sighed loudly.

Maybe he was just truly attracted to her. Or maybe he wasn't. I didn't care at this point. "Manny Hamberg is having a costume party tonight." Macy said looking down at her phone then up at us.

"He wants me to be the bartender. He said I can bring as many people as I'd like." Macy smiles at us both. "Let's go!" Nathan gets up clapping excitedly.

"A costume party in the middle of April?" I questioned. Nathan turned and glared at me. "Does it really matter Carson?" He argued. Macy shrugged not caring why it was happening.

"They say the place it's happening at is haunted and that if you enter the locked door in the back, your soul will be taken in an instant." She said softy trying to creep me out.

I scoffed a little rolling my eyes. Nathan rolled his eyes at me. "You have no soul so you shouldn't have to worry." He crossed his arms over his chest. I rolled my eyes at him instead.

"What am I gonna dress up as?" Macy exclaims worrying more than she should've been.

"You could just ditch it. It sounds stupid." I try to convince her. "Maybe you can dress up as a crabby pregnant woman..... oh wait that costumes already sadly taken." Nathan turned around glaring at me.
