Chapter 3:
After the door closed I turned to look at Edward. ''Why didn't you go with them?'' I asked.
''Not my kind of band.'' He said. I nodded. I heard my cell phone ring from the living room. I sprinted to the living room and answered the phone, ''Hello?''
''Hey Tre'.'' My friend Kate said.
''Hi.'' ''So what are you doing tonight?'' She asked. ''Uh, nothing...'' I said. ''Wanna come out with me, I'm going to a club.'' ''I don't know...''
''I got a fake ID.'' she said.
''Okay.'' I agreed. ''I'll pick you up in an hour.'' ''Alright, bye.''
''Bye.'' I hung up and walked back to the hall were Edward was. ''Um, do you wanna go out with me and my friend?'' I asked him. ''Sure.'' He said.
Kate picked us up and we drove to the club. Kate and I easily got through with our fake IDs, we could easily pass for 21. We walked into the club. ''I'm gonna get a drink anybody want one?'' Kate asked. I nodded, ''Usual.''
Kate nodded, ''What about you?'' She asked Edward. He shook his head, ''I'm fine thank you.'' Kate disappeard into the crowd of people. She returned moments later with two drinks in her hand. She handed me a drink and I took a swig.
2 hours and 4 drinks later we were leaving the club. I didn't think I was that drunk but Kate was. I helped her into the passenger seat and walked to the driver's side. Edward was leaning agianst the door.
''You're not driving.'' He stated.
''I'm fine.'' I said. ''No, you're drunk.'' He said. ''I'm not.'' I protested. ''Walk a straight line then.'' ''I don't need to, I'm not drunk.'' I said. ''Yeah you are, I can tell.'' ''How?''
''It's obvious.'' He stated.
I crossed my arms and stared at him. He smirked and stared back. My head started to throb.
Ugh, I hate headaches.
After a few minutes of standing there I gave up.
''Fine, you win.'' I said handing him the keys.
I got in the backseat and lay down. My head spun.
''Are you okay?'' Edward asked. ''Yeah, but you're right I'm drunk.'' ''I told you.'' he said. The car started and we drove to Kate's house.
I sat up and got out of the car and helped Kate out. I walked her to her house, ''Bye Tre'.'' she said. ''Bye,'' I said. She stumbled into the house and closed the door. I turned around and walked back to the car. I got in and Edward drove us to the house. I fumbled with the keys and tried to unlock the door without much success. ''Need help?'' Edward asked. I sighed, ''No.'' I tried again and after a moment the door unlocked. I walked inside and headed for the kitchen.
I rummaged through the fridge until I found what I was looking for. I popped open the bottle of wine Jason had bought. Edward walked in and leaned agaisnt the counter watching me. ''That's not a good idea.'' He said. ''Yes it is it's a very good idea.'' I said taking a swig. Edward sighed and walked towards me.
I lifted the bottle to my mouth but Edward grabbed it from my hand. ''Hey!'' I said. ''No more.'' He stated. I tried to grab the bottle from him but he held it up too high for me to reach. I tried to grab it again but failed miserably.
Edward was over six feet tall and I was a mere 5'3.
''Give it back.'' I demanded.
''Nope.'' He said. He walked to the sink and poured out the bottle tell it was empty.
Damn him. ''Now come on.''
He said grabbing my hand.
I shivered at his touch, his hands were icy. He dragged me upstairs and to my room.
He sat me down on my bed and bent down to take my shoes off. He glanced up at me and I glared at him. He chuckled, ''It's for your own good, and you'll thank me tomorrow.'' ''I beg to differ.'' I said crossing my arms. He stood up and looked down at me. ''You're not gonna go to sleep are you?'' He asked.
I shook my head. He sighed and sat down beside me.
''Aren't you tired?'' He asked.
''No.'' Damn him for taking my wine away! I stared into his eyes, I'd never seen someone with such dark eyes. I leaned in closer to him. ''I've never seen anyone with black eyes before.'' I said. As I got closer to him I noticed again how beautiful he was. Was it possible for someone to be this beautiful? His skin was flawless and perfect. There wasn't anything about him that wasn't perfect. I leaned in and kissed his perfect lips. He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me closer. I started unzipping his leather jacket. He locked his hands around mine and pulled my hands away. He broke away, leaning his forehead against mine.
I tried to kiss him again but he pulled away. He stood up, dropping my hands in my lap and walked away. He closed the door behind him and left me alone sitting on my bed.
