Chapter 10: Dearly beloved are you listening?
We left the club at midnight and headed home.
"So did you guys have fun?" Jason asked when we walked inside.
"I did." I said.
"Good." Jason said.
"I'm going to bed, see you all tomorrow." I said walking up the stairs.
I reached my room and turned around expecting to see Edward behind me.
Sure enough he was there.
"Edward you're not coming to bed with me." I said.
"I doubt you're actually going to bed." He replied.
"Well I'm and you should do the same." I said.
I closed the door and walked to bed.
I glanced at my window that was nailed shut.
It feels weird in here; like I'm trapped.
I sighed and lay down on my bed.
I closed my eyes but couldn't get to sleep.
I laid there for hours tossing and turning but still no sleep.
I sighed and looked at the clock; 4:04 am.
I got up and walked downstairs.
I went to the kitchen and opened the fridge.
I looked at the bottle of vodka.
That would surely help me sleep.
I picked up the bottle and turned around.
Edward was standing a few inches away from me.
I screamed but Edwards cold hand covered my mouth.
"Shh." He said.
I pulled his hand from my mouth.
"Jesus Christ Edward, stop appearing out of thin air like that."
"Sorry." He said.
"What are you doing up?" I asked.
"I could ask you the same thing."
He gestured to the bottle in my hands.
"What's that?" He asked.
"How do you always know?!" I said.
"You're too predictable." He said.
"Have you been standing in here for the last 3 hours waiting for me?" I asked.
"No." He said.
I walked past him and opened the bottle taking a swig.
I turned around to face him.
"Trinity please stop." He said.
"Stop what?"
"Stop drinking." He said.
"I can't do that Edward." I said.
"Are you admitting you have a problem?" He asked raising his eyebrows.
"No I'm saying I won't stop therefore I can't stop." I said.
"Edward you don't understand I need it." I said.
"Why?"
"I just do." I stated simply.
I put the bottle to my mouth and chugged it.
The bottle was grabbed from my hands.
My eyes burned and my mouth was filled with the bitter taste.
I reminded myself to never chug a whole bottle again.
Edward threw the bottle in the trash.
"I can't believe you just did that, are you trying to make yourself sick?" He said.
I swallowed, "Maybe."
"You are...I don't have a word for you." He said.
"I have a word for you."
"I don't want to hear it." He said.
"Are you ready to go to bed?" He asked.
"I suppose since there's no more alcohol in the house." I said.
Edward sighed and picked me up.
"I can walk." I said.
"I doubt it."
He carried me to my room bridal style and laid me down on my bed.
I was still dressed in my clothes from today.
I was too tired to change so I just unzipped the skirt I was wearing and slid off the black shirt revealing my black lace bra and panties.
Edward stared down at my body.
"Edward?" I said.
He blinked and looked at me, "What?"
"That's making me really uncomfortable." I said.
"Sorry." He said.
I slid under the blankets and Edward sat at the foot of the bed.
"Aren't you going to go to sleep?" I asked.
He shook his head, "I'm not tired."
I shrugged and cuddled further under the blankets.
I closed my eyes and fell into a deep sleep.
