Frostbitten

Chapter 1

*Elsa's POV*

*knock knock!* "What? What? What is it?" I say starting awake, I rub my eyes. "Elsa wake up! We'll be late for work come on."

"Oh shoot! I'm coming!" I get out of bed quickly, I put on a blue dress with a black belt and black shoes. I quickly put my hair in a french braid, and lightly put on my makeup. I came out the door, where Anna is waiting. "It's about time." She said, I sigh and walk to the kitchen. "I'm sorry Anna, I didn't hear my alarm go off."

I poor myself a cup of coffee, and put on the lid so I can bring it with me in the car. "Umm. Aren't you forgetting something?"

"What?" I ask, she points to a plate. I sigh, and put down my coffee and start eating my pancakes. "I don't know why you're making me eat when you said, that we're going to be late." I say after swallowing, she rolls her eyes. "Because, no matter what, you need to eat Elsa. You better be glad I insisted on living with you."

I stick my tongue out, then I eat my last bite of pancakes. I swallow it, "Ok let's go." I grab the keys and put on my white jacket, Anna usually rides with me to save gas. We both own Arendale Fashions in Columbia, North Carolina. I'm in main control of the winter line. Anna is in control of the summer wardrobe.

For spring, I have my good friend Liz corana, but we call her rapunzel because of her long blonde hair. In charge of fall, is Merida dunbrock from Scotland. "So Elsa, what advice do you have for our employees today?" Anna asks, I smile at her but keep my eyes on the road. "We'll find out when we get there. I still have to come up with one you know." She playfully punches my arm. I laugh, "Ow."

"Hey I have to know, because I give comments to it. I want to know what to say." Anna said, I put a look on my face that looks like I'm thinking hard. Finally I come up with one, "Ok I got it." I clear my throat, "Every customer comes in, wanting something. And sometimes the parents or sibling tells them different, or completely disagrees. Our job, is to focus on the person who is buying clothes for themself. To help them find what makes them feel beautiful."

"That's awesome Elsa."

"Thanks Anna." I know what's it like to not feel beautiful, I've had my heart broken by guys who have told me that. They'll be interested for maybe a month, and then leave. I've built up so many walls because of it. That's why I choose not to get involved in relationships. Anna had been lead on by this norwegian guy, named Hans south. He made her believe that he loved her, then turned around and broke her heart. What's worse is, I practically set him up with her.

She's been dating this guy Kristoffer hemsworth. But he likes to be called Kristoff, he's perfect for her. They've only been dating for a few months, but I have a good feeling about it.

We finally reach our store, thankfully we're the first one's here. I check the time, it's only 7:30. "Anna! I thought you said that were going to be late?" I ask her, she laughs. "Oops." She says as she un-buckled her seat belt. I grab my phone and purse, Anna does the same.

I get my keys to the store out of my purse, and unlock the door. As soon as I flip on the lights, people are yelling. "Surprise!" I jump back and put my hand on my chest. There's a banner that says, Happy 21st birthday Elsa!

"Guys. You scared me." I say, but I smile. I can't believe they did this for me. "Anna is this why you rushed me out the door this morning?" I ask turning to look at her. "Yes it is." Anna gives me a hug.

She lets me go, Anna dig into her purse and pulls something out. It's in winter theamed wrapping. Today is December 7th, and winter is my favorite season. So it works out pretty well, considering where my birthday falls.

"Well go on. Open it." Anna urges, I laugh "Ok ok hold on." I open the box, inside is a locket. I open it up and gasp, it's a picture of our entire family before our parents died. "Oh Anna, it's beautiful thank you." I give her a hug, a tear escapes my eye. When I pulled away, Anna wipes it off. "You're welcome."

I put it on right away. All my co-workers and employees are here. Rapunzel, and Merida, along with my employees. Astrid, Ariel, Ella, Belle, Rose and Mary. Or snow white as we like to call her. She's so pale! Afterwards, everyone gives presents, with small gifts inside. I love them all.

We take down the banner and I put all the gifts in my office. Then we all gather in the center of the store. "Ok everyone. Thank you all for a wonderful birthday surprise, but I'm afraid it's back to work." They all groan, but laugh at the same time. I smile and continue my speech.

After I get done, Anna makes another one of her jokes. "And you know how much of a pain some siblings can be. Right Elsa?" She nudges me with her elbow, I do the same thing to her. "Ok enough Anna. Everyone else," I clap my hands "let's get to work." We unlock the doors, Anna flips the sign to open. It's just green cursive lettering. Not one of those cheesy open signs.

*Anna's POV*

I great a little girl, with her mother and father. I shake the little girls hand, "Hi, I'm Anna. What's your name?" I ask her, "I'm Wendy."
I notice her accent, "Hi Wendy. Are you from England?"

"Yes, we came here looking for some summer clothes. We're going to Hawaii for Christmas this year. We've been planning this trip forever."

"I'm her mother. Can you help our daughter find some clothes? I'm afraid her father had bought, what seemed to be more appropriate for fall. I'm afraid he didn't realize how warm it gets there. Isn't that right George?" She turns to her husband, he seems to be lost in la la land.

"What? Oh yes. If you'll excuse me Elizabeth, I'll just wait in car with the boys."

"Alright. We won't be too long." Elizabeth tells her husband, they share a quick kiss then the husband leaves. "Ok. How about we find you some clothes, that still stay true to Christmas?"

"I'm so excited. Let's go!" Wendy exclaims, I laugh and extend my hand. "Ok follow me Wendy." I say, then we walk on over to the summer clothes.

I show her, some great red and green outfits. Even a santa tank top, and I paired it with a green cardigan. "And if you where white shorts, it will look even better."

"Oh! It's a good thing I already packed some mother." Her mom laughs, "Yes it is."

After choosing about, five outfits to mix and match. I show them where the counter is, so that they can pay. Of course since I represent summer, I'm wearing a pink dress and a sunflower pin in my hair. I love this season, and though it's winter, I still wear summer clothes. Until it gets too cold. Which it will be in a week!

I've been lucky with it being fall temperatures so far. But that won't last too long. I go to Elsa and I's office. Elsa is out in the store, helping people find some winter outfits. I sit down and check some of my designs that I uploaded onto my computer. I don't start getting them made till January. "And I can't wait." I mutter to myself.

I start making up some more designs for clothes. There is only so much time left.
