Chapter 10

*Elsa's POV*

Today I decided to cancel practice with Jack. I can't risk falling for him, it's better if I just stay alone.

Besides, I don't have room in my life for a relationship. I have to work, a lot. Guys don't want to be with a girl who always works.

The more I'm with him, the more I can't stop thinking about him. Like I'm doing right now.

I roll my eyes and try to keep myself busy with work. "Elsa.."

I look up and see Anna, I smile at her and close my computer. "Hey Anna. What do you need?" I ask her, she walks over and sits in front of my desk.

She looks like a child who just got caught stealing. "Anna. What's wrong?"

She bites her lip, and starts looking nervous. "Anna....?"

"I, uhh..I told.." Anna mumbles, I roll my eyes. "Anna I didn't hear you. You told what?"

"I told Jack."

"You told Jack what?"

"What happened with Henry."

"What?!" I yell shocked, I stand up from my desk and walk over to her. "Wh- wh- why would you do that??"

"I don't know, he called asking why you cancelled, and I felt so bad so I went ahead and told him what happened. I'm sorry Elsa, he just sounded worried."

"Why would he be worried?"

"Because you cancelled on him, after you guys almost kissed. What else would it be?" She asks, I look away and walk back to my chair. "I don't know." I whisper.

Anna comes and gives me a hug around my shoulders. "Elsa, you can't let some past relationship, ruin your chance to be happy with someone else."

I don't say anything and start trying to draw a new jacket. "I'm going back out there. Remember what I said."

Anna leaves and closes the door. I drop my head in my hands, and try not to cry. I'm remembering the day he broke up with me.

"Come on Henry, there's no need to be upset."

"No I saw the way that guy looked at you. And the way you looked at him. You wanted him, didn't you." He points accusing me. "Henry I didn't see anyone. Who are you talking about?"

"You know what forget it, I was just about through with you anyway." I stand back shocked.

"What do you mean?" I'm so confused. "Ha, you thought I would fall for you? A workaholic freak? You're worthless."

He laughs, I'm trying not to cry in front of him. "You don't mean that." My voice cracking.

"Yes I do..monster. You're a monster because you only care about yourself. Don't cry...freak." He glares at me then walks away. I stand there, in the middle of the park. Speechless, tears running down my face. They started after he turned around. People are starting to stare, I'm crying in the middle of the park. Why wouldn't they look?

I finally move, and run away. I reach my apartment, and unlock the door, I go to my room. Sobbing into my pillow, I told him everything. Gave him all I had, opened up to him, and he crushed it.

When Anna gets home, she see's me crying. "Elsa what happened?"

I wipe my tears away, and tell her everything. "Oh Elsa I'm so sorry." She gives me a hug, and I sob into her shoulder.

A single tear manages to escape, I quickly wipe it away. I can't afford to break down and cry like a child, at work.

I take a few deep breaths, and get back to work.
