   Silence

   He stood there, still.

   When I glanced down, I realized I wasn't on the ground anymore, but floating two feet above it. I couldn't move, frozen all the way except my head.

   Then there was something pulling me. It didn't stop until I meditated right before the man in the lava, dressed impeccably.

   His piercing, ice blue eyes stared as they sized me up. "It's good to have finally met you, Roza," he said, purring my name in Russian, his voice deep and seductive. "Won't you come down?"

   With that said, I began to descend from the air, landing in front of him and the lava. He took my hand and kissed it, his skin and lips as chilly as a cold winter's night.

   "Who are you?" I managed to get out in a choked whisper.

   "The name is Satan," he said. "I am here to grant you one wish, but of course that's a favor that you will have to return." He smoothed one hand over his suite coat and studied me, meeting my gaze with a mischievous smile playing at his lips. "Isn't there anything you desire?" ...
