When I woke, two voices were talking quietly.
“Honey, don’t turn it, she might not like our kind of music,” a woman’s voice said.
“Oh, she’ll be okay. She’ll learn to like it just like you did.” A man’s voice muttered back.
I frowned in my sleep, but kept my eyes closed. No one ever came to this palace that knew me, so I had no idea who it was. I stirred to act as if I’d just woken and hadn’t heard a thing. Then, yawned and slowly sat up.
When I opened my eyes, they widened in surprise. A young looking lady and a handsome man stood near the edge of my bed. The woman stood, filing her nails, while the man played around with my radio. The weird thing was that they looked oddly familiar, but I was certain I’d never met them. Because you couldn’t forget a face full of beauty.
“Hello,” I said slowly, confused. “Who are you?”
The woman and man looked at me and smiled. “Well, well,” the woman spoke with a flawless England accent. “Look who’s finally up. I’m your mother by vampire and he’s your father.”
I blinked and stood. “You’re Jesse’s parents," I said in realization. I glanced down at both of their clothes and noticed they were really dressed up. Like ball gown and tuxedo dressed up. And I only wore sleeping clothes. Before I changed, I asked, “How do you run in heels?” I asked my second mom.
She laughed and her eyes sparkled the same color as her gown, a beautiful gold. “Easy. They have straps going up my legs and the heels are specially made.”
I thought about that. “Do you by any chance have any with you?”
Mom chuckled. “Always. I’ll get your shoes and you get dressed. I want you to come with us.” She went over to one of my closets filled with heels. She turned to me. “I like your style. It’s unique.” She turned back to the closet.
Smiling, I gave a nod to my ‘Dad’ and went over to my gown closet. I picked out a beautiful, off-the-shoulders, violet luminous silk gown. When I held it up, a gasp came from behind it. I turned to find both parents gazing at the gown, then me, fondly.
“That dress, darling, was made for you,” Mom told me. The man stood beside her, nodding in agreement.
“I’ll get dressed then,” I told them. I went into the large bathroom and hung up the gown before going over to the mirror. I opened it and got out the makeup bag, a few hair decorations, and accessories.
First, I applied a little glitter face powder on my face. Next, I put on mascara and eye-liner.
After that, I put on violet glitter lipstick. Finishing with my face, I moved on to my hair. Going for the royal princess look.
For my hair, I gave myself a china bang and on the ends of both sides, it was longer and curved to my chin. The rest of my hair was put up in a flawless bun. I had lime green chopstick hair accessories sticking through it like an ‘x’. Finally, I put on my three diamond length earrings and a matching diamond necklace.
Done with my hair, I undressed out of my p.j. and slipped into my beautiful gown. I walked over to the mirror and smiled at my reflection, turning my eyes a glowing, beautiful violet. Deciding to make a dazzling entrance, I called out my parents and told them to fasten their eyes on the door.
