"Baby, do you want me to get you some water?" asked Cheryl as she listened to Kimberley on the other side of the door, being sick. They had been living together for a few weeks now and Kimberley was feeling sick and being sick too often for Cheryl's liking.

"No, I'll be okay thanks" said Kimberley while flushing the toilet. She looked at herself in the mirror and frowned. She wondered if she has caught a bug, but she didn't feel ill, only when she suddenly felt sick. She unlocked the door and came face to face with Cheryl.

"Please will you get yourself checked out?" she asked with a concerned look. Cheryl had asked her to before but Kimberley thought it would pass, it had been a few weeks now and it hadn't.

"Yeah, yeah I think I will" she said sadly. She didn't want to think anything was wrong with her but knew it would be for the best to make sure she was okay and hopefully only caught a little bug. She rubbed her stomach as she walked down the stairs and sat on the sofa.

"Still feel sick?" asked Cheryl, placing the back of her hand on Kimberley's forehead to check her temperature. Kimberley shook her head.

"Just feel a bit bloated. It'll pass" she replied. Cheryl looked at her before getting her mobile and dialling in numbers.

"What are you doing?" asked Kimberley.

"I'm getting you an emergency appointment at the doctors" said Cheryl. Kimberley sighed and rolled her eyes. "Don't look at me like that Kimberley, something isn't right" she said.

"Make me more nervous why don't you" Kimberley replied.

"If that's the only way to make you see then... Oooh hello" said Cheryl as someone on the other end of the phone picked up.

Kimberley laid back on the sofa and lifted up her top. She noticed her belly wasn't as flat as it normally was. Cheryl looked at Kimberley's belly as well, she frowned.

"Oh what sorry? Yeah it needs to be today" she said into the phone after giving them details. "Thank you" she said into the phone.

"So..?" said Kimberley.

"You've got an appointment in an hour. I'll have to cancel my X Factor meeting" said Cheryl and she started looking through her contacts on her mobile.

"Don't do that Cheryl, I will be okay on my own" she smiled at her girlfriend.

"Babe, you're scaring me" said Cheryl as she put her mobile down. "Why do you not seem bothered that you keep throwing up?" she asked.

"I'll worry myself too much if I do that. Listen, you get yourself off to this meeting and I will see you here when I get home, yeah?" Kimberley said confidently. Cheryl looked at her for a bit, trying to read Kimberley's eyes for any worry. She sighed.

"Fine. I'll be a few hours at this meeting, is that okay?" she asked.

"Of course it is" replied Kimberley, kissing Cheryl on the forehead. "Lets get ready" she said. They both made their way up the stairs to get dressed for different meetings. Once they were both ready, they left the house at the same time and drove off in different directions, Kimberley to the private doctors and Cheryl to her meeting.

"Ah, good afternoon Miss Walsh" said the female doctor on her arrival.

"Hello" she replied, her nerves kicking in.

"What seems to be the problem?" she asked once they both entered a quiet room.

"I keep being sick. I thought it would go away at first but it didn't and Cheryl... Cheryl insisted I come here" she replied, her voice growing quieter towards the end.

"Mrs Cole did seem quite concerned on the phone" said the doctor. "Is she looking after you?" she asked while looking at her files on her computer.

"Err no, she's just living with me" she said. The doctor glanced at Kimberley briefly before turning back to the computer.

"Sorry, that was unprofessional of me to ask" said the doctor.

"It's okay" smiled Kimberley.

"Right, could I get you to pop up on this bed for me please Miss Walsh" said the doctor. Kimberley nodded and did as she was told.

"I'm just going to lift your top up if that's okay" Kimberley nodded again. She watched the concentration on the doctors face as she felt around on her belly.

"What is it?" asked Kimberley as she noticed the frown on the doctors face.

"Miss Walsh, when was the last time you had your period?" the doctor asked. The colour immediately drained from Kimberley's face and her heart beat sped up.

"Oh my God"
