"Kimba! Come have a look at this" Cheryl said while watching the news channel, Ashley's court case was being shown and talked about. Kimberley came downstairs and looked at the TV.
"I shouldn't have bothered going" the younger girl continued after seeing Ashley was cleared of all the charges.
"He obviously had the money to pay for the right people" Kimberley replied after seeing that the woman who took him to court got pressured to tell the truth. An ex boyfriend did it to her instead.
"You don't think maybe she was scared so she made up another story, do you?" Cheryl wondered. Kimberley looked down at her before sitting on the sofa.
"But he's innocent?" she questioned, sitting next to Cheryl in her dressing gown.
"I know what them people are like. I've been to court before, remember?" she said while thinking back to the time she was arrested herself.
"And you only told them the truth babe. You wouldn't have ever admitted to the racism, no matter how much they pushed you, because it wasn't true" she replied before patting Cheryl on the knee then lifting herself back up off the sofa.
"You're right" Cheryl said, looking back at the TV. "I'm sorry if there's any crap in the papers today about me and him because I defended him" she sighed, knowing there would be something.
"I know it'll be rubbish so there's no need for sorries, babe" she said while holding her hand out to her girlfriend. "We need to get dressed"
Cheryl took hold of her had an let herself be pulled up before they made their way upstairs to get dressed ready for Nadine's wedding.
"Babe, hurry up! I want to see you" Cheryl called from inside the bedroom to Kimberley who was on the other side of the door.
"Just a minute" she replied. Cheryl sat on the bed in her new and very expensive dress, appropriate for the event, and waited impatiently for the older woman. She saw her mobile flash, indicating she received a text.
"Nadine's just text me" she said while looking at her mobile with a frown. "She wants to talk to me alone before the wedding" she added, wondering why. Cheryl jumped when she heard Kimberley's voice not being blocked by the door.
"Maybe she wants your advice" she said. Cheryl looked up at her and her jaw dropped. She stood up from the bed and walked over to her to take a better look.
"I said this dress would look... fucking amazing on you" she said, her eyes fixed on her body. "Lucky that love bite has gone, aye" she grinned, running her finger across the top of her breast.
"You look beautiful" Kimberley stated while looking at the adoring look on Cheryl's face, her heart melting.
"Not as half as beautiful as you look" she replied with a smile. She took the older woman into a hug and breathed in her scent.
"I have to disagree with you babe" Kimberley said after pulling out of the hug and looking at her girlfriend. Cheryl watched her eyes travel her body.
"You still give me butterflies, you know" the Geordie commented. Kimberley leant into her and kissed her softly.
"You still give me them too. They're going crazy right now" she smiled, leaning her forehead on the younger womans. They kissed again before hearing Kimberley's mobile vibrate. She broke away from Cheryl, her eyes on her for a few more seconds before she walked over to her mobile.
"You might want to text Nadine back" she said after reading the text. "She's wondering if you got it or not"
"Oh right, yeah" Cheryl said after a while, being pulled out of her trance. She text Nadine back. "I told her we'll get there a bit earlier so we can talk. You wont mind hanging outside for a bit, will you?" she asked.
"Not at all. Whoever is there already can say hello to Scott" she smiled. "I'll text Justin and tell him we're picking him up a bit earlier than planned"
"Feels like I haven't seen him in ages" the younger girl said, thinking about their little boy.
"I wonder how much he's grown since yesterday morning" Kimberley giggled while steadily walking down the stairs in her heels, Cheryl following close behind.
"Do you ever get worried he wont recognise us both?" Cheryl wondered while sorting out her bag.
"He still knows who Justin is after sometimes a week of not seeing him, so I don't think that would happen... or I hope so anyway" she replied. "Car is here babe" she said, looking out of the window. "Did you tell him you were going early?" she wondered.
"Yeah I text him after I text Nadine" she replied, grabbing her mobile and stepping out of the house with Kimberley behind.
"Looking very lovely, ladies" the driver said to them both. The couple nodded back to him with a smile as they carefully got into the back. "To Justin's?" he asked.
"Please" Kimberley answered him while putting her seat belt on. Cheryl was already strapped in.
They soon arrived outside Justin's house, he was waiting for them with Scott. Cheryl got out of the car to take him. Kimberley watched her girlfriend and Justin interracting with each other. Cheryl looked down at her dress and Kimberley gathered the man complimented her. She took Scott from him and said goodbye before getting back into the car.
"Are you blushing?" Kimberley asked as Cheryl got into the car. She kissed Scott on the head before handing him over to his birth mother. She held his hand as Kimberley sat him on her lap.
"He told us I'd be getting lucky tonight looking like this" she replied, her face reddening more.
"Men" Kimberley replied, rolling her eyes and giggling at her girlfriend.
