Juliet POV

"I can't do anything. He'll hurt her if I do."

I stopped in my tracks, my hand on my door and my keys in my other hand. What was he taking about? Who was he talking about?

"No, damnit Carlos it doesn't matter. Just don't let them get her. They can't know about her."

I wanted to turn around and go ask him who he was talking about. I wanted to know why it was important that someone didn't have someone else. I wanted to know everything, yet I didn't know anything. I bit my lip and shook my head, getting in my car and shutting the door. I started it, and pulled out, heading home.

**

"Daddy, Mommy!" I yelled, walking in the door. My dad came around the corner, and smiled at me. I smiled, spreading my arms out to hug him. He gave me a hug, and my mom came down the stairs. I gave her a hug, and told them goodbye. They were going on a business trip for a week, meaning I'd be alone for a whole week in this big house.

"Call everyday! And don't try to cook, you'll set the house on fire. I love you sweetie!" My mom smiled, kissing my nose and running out after my dad. I chuckled, walking to my room and changing into pajamas. I laid on my bed, getting my book and reading.

BANG BANG BANG

I jolted out of bed, my book falling to the floor. There was another bang, and my cat ran out of my bathroom and onto my bed. He slid under my covers, poking his head out to look at me. I looked around my room for something to protect myself, and grabbed my bat. I slowly walked to my door, putting my hand on the handle. Another bang erupted, and I squealed, putting my hand over my mouth. I removed my hand, holding tightly onto the bat as I opened my door. I tiptoed out and downstairs. All the lights were on, and I walked to the kitchen first. There was another bang from upstairs, and I jumped. I grabbed the home phone, dialing 911 and slowly backing up towards the door.

"911 how may I help you?"

"Yes, there is someone in my house" I whispered, my voice cracking. I tried to open the door, but something sticky was on it, not letting me open it.

"Ma'am, who is in your house? Are you alone?"

"I don't know, yes I am alone. My parents went on a business meeting in Tokyo and I'm an only child." I cried, looking around desperately as I heard another bang. I heard loud footsteps coming downstairs and a whimper escaped my lips. A bang came from behind me, and I dropped the phone, running towards the window. The footsteps became more rapid, as I desperately tried to open the window. "Come on come on" I screamed, pulling the latch over. It wouldn't budge, and I let a sob escape my lips.

"Juliet" a deep voice said from behind me. I froze, my eyes wide. I slowly turned around, gulping.

"Please don't kill me" I whispered, closing my eyes tightly.

"Why would I kill you?" A voice said, laughing. I opened my eyes to see Nash standing there, laughing.

"What the fuck Nash!" I yelled, hitting him in the chest. I was breathing heavily while he laughed.

**

"What are you even doing here?" I asked Nash after the cops left. He shrugged, popping a grape into his mouth.

"My parents are fighting, and I didn't want to stay. I didn't have anywhere to go, and your parents love me. By the way, where are they?" He asked, looking around.

"Business trip in Tokyo." I shrugged, biting my apple. He nodded, and we fell into a comfortable silence. Nash was the football quart back. Also known as my best friend. We've known each other sense we were 3. I stared at the t.v screen, sighing deeply. "Well I'm going to bed. Goodnight."

"Night."
