The group ran. Lori was holding Judith tightly as she cried. I knew she was wishing Rick and Carl were here. Rick could do something... But he was gone. Deep inside me knew that Rick had probably already turned into a walker. Roaming the streets of Atlanta. We had two guns. Only pistols. Katlynn and I. I had the groups only knife.
"Where are we going?" Katlynn asks as we run into a forest.
"Who cares?" Andrea replied.
Bugs swarmed around us. There were no walkers seen yet. We jumped onto a dirt trail and followed it. We saw a few other paths but we went straight. But I saw something in the corner of my eye... A cabin... Cabins...
"Into the cabins!" I yell.
I led the group into the nearest cabin. The door almost didnt want to open. The cabin was small and slightly dusty. It must have been cleaned just before outbreak. It had three beds. I grabbed my knife and looked at a wooden door. I opened it slowly. It was a washroom with a shower, sink and toilet. That was all... But another door... I opened it. It was another room... It had the three beds and little layers of dust. I returned to the group in the other room.
"Andrea, Lori and I can sleep in this room." I state.
"Me, Daryl and Glenn can take the next room." Katlynn said.
"Beth and I could take Judith into another cabin. Lori, you need rest." Logan added.
"Thank you, sweetie." Lori smiled.
"I'll be on the other side of that cabin." Shane added.
"Take this." I say to Logan. I handed him my gun.
"Don't you need it?" Logan asked.
"I have my knife." I replied.
"Thank you." Beth said.
I saw Daryl open the curtains and instantly close them again. He jumped to the floor.
"Get down!" Daryl hissed.
Everybody got to the floor. Daryl put his feet against the door to keep it shut. We could all hear the moans. Their feet were tripping over rocks. We waited until we didn't hear moans and the herd passed by.
"That was damn close." Daryl said.
"We should go." Beth stated.
Beth carefully held Judith and left with Logan. Katlynn, Daryl and Glenn entered their room. Andrea threw her things on a top bunk. I took the bottom bunk and Lori took the extra bed. I placed my things on my bed and searched through my bag. I took out a chocolate bar and sat beside Lori.
"To take the pain away." I hand her the chocolate bar.
"You've really been there for me!" Lori cried into my shoulder.
"I will always be here for you and Judith." I say.
I saw Daryl in the doorway looking at Andrea, Lori and I.
"I was thinking maybe we should check the area out. Maybe at the entrance there will be a car that was leaving but never made it." Daryl said.
"Of course. Can you get Logan and Beth?" Lori replied.
Daryl nodded. He left and came back with Logan and Beth. Beth was holding Judith who was sucking on a bottle of milk.
"Judith is growing quickly." Beth said to Lori.
Lori simply smiled. The group left the cabin area and walked to the entrance of this place. The sign said "Kinark." I had never heard of it. There were no vehicles but there was a building that sorta looked like a train station without the tracks called "Nova Centre." There were a bunch of bags there.
"These look like they belonged to kids." Andrea said.
"It must've been a school trip." Katlynn stated.
"I don't feel comfortable with this. This place is a graveyard." Lori admitted.
"We have to stay somewhere. This is all we got." Glenn said.
I walked around. I was on a stone floor. On the floor was a giant "snakes and ladders" game. This seemed too creepy for me. The sun was finally beginning to set. We all returned to our cabins. Lori slept quickly.
"This group is slowly dying." I state.
"What do you mean?" Andrea wondered.
"The group is slowly disappearing..." I replied.
"Please try to get some sleep." Andrea concluded.
I lay on my bed and let my eyes close. But the words rolled around my head: the group is slowly disappearing... If this was true, how long do I have?

I search through my bag for breakfast. All I could find were crackers. I opened the box and woke Lori.
"Eat. You need it." I hand her the crackers.
"Where are you going?" Lori demanded.
"Going to search for food." I reply.
I kept my knife in my pocket and walked back to the Nova Centre. I opened a bag. There was clothes and bags of chips and cans of soda. The clothes wouldn't fit anybody in the group. I set the food on a table and look through another bag. This time there was chocolate and soda bottles. I set it aside. I heard something... Coming from an outhouse from behind the building. I take out my knife. I opened the outhouse and saw a racoon in the toilet. I turn around and Shane was in my face. His hand was over my mouth and he carried me into the forest.
