Logan slept in my bed tonight. I had trouble sleeping because his cries and pleads for Beth's safe return were muttered in my ear. His warm breath was blowing against my neck. I forced my eyes shut and finally got sleep.

Andrea and Beth ran throughout the woods. They heard the loud moans of hundreds of walkers behind them.

"What do we do?" Beth pleaded.

"We stick together." Andrea said.

"Where are we going?" Beth asked.

"We should be near Kinark soon." Andrea replied.

***********************************************

I woke; screaming in horror. I knocked Logan out of bed and Katlynn scattered to her feet.

"What is it?" Katlynn asked.

"I think I know where we can find Beth." I said.

"Then let's go!" Logan shouted.

I grabbed our only gun left since Ben took our others and we ran. The sun was beginning to rise. The cold air blew briskly into our faces as we silently snuck out of town. The road had no walkers on it but I could already hear moans.

"How many do you think is there?" Katlynn asked.

"Hundreds." I say.

"Hundreds?" Logan demanded.

I ignored him and we kept running. I could see the shadows of walkers creep in the forest. We hid in the nova centre as countless walkers shuffled past us. Until the last walker passed out of sight, we hid behind a large rock. The final walker passed and we ran swiftly towards the cabins. We heard cries coming from within a cabin. I open it slowly until I saw who it was. We all ran in at once. Andrea sat beside the dying Beth.

"Beth!" Logan gasped.

"Logan." Beth barley managed to say.

Beth was bitten on the shoulder and the arm. The wounds flooded blood onto the floor. I felt her cheek. It was cold yet she was sweating.

"Please... Beth, don't leave me!" Logan pleaded.

"I'm sorry." Beth gulped.

"No! Please, no!" Logan cried.

Katlynn held him back; preventing him from hugging her. Beth could turn any minute. Beth reached... But not to Logan. She reached for my hand. Her icy cold hand grabbed mine.

"Keep him safe..." Beth concluded.

She looked at Logan, then her eyes shut. Logan looked at us all.

"Do something! Save her!" Logan shouted at us.

But we couldn't do anything. I pulled out my gun. But it was too much for me... I give it to Andrea.

"Forgive me." Andrea concluded.
