Caroline was walking with Natasha to try to get caught up about everything she missed while she was her 'no humanity' self. Ever since she has gotten back, she's been trying to avoid Steve in anyway possible. Natasha and Caroline were walking toward the quinjet when Steve came around the corner, Caroline quickly turns around, but she doesn't try to run she just freezes.
"You're avoiding me" Steve said amusingly.
"No. I'm not avoiding you. Did you know that I missed a ton of info while I was gone." Caroline tries to play dumb.
Steve gives her a look," Caroline. Can we talk?"
After a moment, Caroline nods, they walk to the closest room and shut the door. Caroline sits on the end of the bed, while Steve sits in the middle.He sees her hand resting between them on the bed and squeezes it with his own.
"Do you hate me?" Caroline says bluntly.
"No, of course I don't hate you. Doesn't mean that I don't hate the way you handled things"
"Well, that makes two of us. "
"Well, I forgive you"
"Yeah, but, that's the point, Steve. The old Caroline wouldn't have forgiven me. She would've smacked me and said "What the hell are you doing?" And I hate the way that this has made me feel."
"I've known you for the longer time , I know you're a control freak who's lost control. I feel the same way when I'm around you. That's what falling for somebody is. It's being vulnerable. It's--"He grabs her hand again," giving up control. "
"I thought the best way to control the darkness was to isolate myself but, when I did that, there's was no one around to give me hope, or tell me when I was being stupid....All I have is this sadness and this anger.."
"And you have me."
"I have you," Caroline smiles slightly while placing her hand on top of Steve's. Her skin placed smoothly against his warmed Steve up again. Nothing hurt her more than seeing Caroline not being herself. He laid his forehead on top of hers and thats when Caroline noticed how close his lips were to hers, just like in the gym. She went to lean in but was stopped by Steve, which left her confused.
"I want to be perfect. You can kiss me once we finish this whole mission. I can promise you that."

"Stark, we're heading north east," Steve and Caroline heard Natasha say on the quinjet.
"What? Did you stop for drive-thru?" Tony jokes, " Swing up park, I'm gonna lay 'em out for you."
Clint takes control of the quinjet and Natasha takes out the machine gun, firing at the aliens that were ahead. Caroline looked out the window to see Loki and Thor attacking each other.
"See them."
Clint aims at Loki, but Loki aims his scepter at the quinjet, firing at the side of the quinjet causing it to catch fire and starts spinning about to crash.
Steve grabs Caroline's waist, pulling her closer to his chest as he grabs onto the ceiling to keep them both from falling over.
The quinjet flew past a building and crashed into an open space, Clint and Natasha took off their seat belts, Steve and Caroline dropped onto their feet.
The ramp opens and they make their way out, running around a few cars, " We gotta get back up there," Steve and Caroline run towards Stark tower, Clint and Natasha following behind.
The four stop at the bridge, looking up at the portal as a huge thing carrying more Chitauris that pass over them. The aliens jump out and into buildings, attacking people.
"Stark, you seeing this?" Steve asks through the comm.
"I'm seeing, still working on believing. Where's Banner? Has he shown up yet?"
"Banner?" Steve asks.
"Just keep me posted."
The four ducked behind some yellow taxi cabs, and Steve jumps up as he sees Loki flying past them, making explosions along his path. Chitauri aliens start creeping towards them," We got this!" Caroline reassures Steve, as she shoots some aliens, using her speed to confuse them for them to crash into each other.
"It's good, go" Natasha tells him
"Think you can hold them off?" Steve asks Clint.
"Captain," Clint presses a button, his arrows moving around and into their heads," It would be my genuine pleasure," he stands and shoots an alien in the head, causing it to explode and attacking other Chitauri around it.
"Just be careful." He kisses Caroline's forehead before he jumps of the bridge, leaving Caroline with a huge smile on her face.
Caroline shot as many Chitauri as she could, with Romanoff by her side, it seemed like it was wiping out all of them but they just kept piling in.
"Did they ever say anything about fighting alien robots in SHIELD?" Natasha asked fighting off the monsters.
"No they didn't. Trust me, if they did I wouldn't be an agent." She joked while shooting some of the alien's head off.
"Just like Budapest all over again!" Natasha shouts again.
"You and I remember Budapest very differently" Clint replies.
"You guys never really told me what happened in Budapest" Caroline said only being ignored.
"What's the story upstairs?" Steve asked the Asgardian
"The power surrounding the Cube is impenetrable."
"Thor's right. We gotta deal with these guys." Stark informed the group.
"How do we do that?" Natasha asked
"As a team." Steve interjected,
"I've got unfinished business with Loki" Thor informed. "Who doesn't?" Caroline said sounding pissed as she reloaded her gun.
"Yeah?Well, save it. Loki's going to keep his fight focused on us, and that's what we need. Without him, these thing could run wild. We got Stark up top, he's going to need us to-" Steve was cut off by an engine running, they turned around to see Banner on a motorcycle.
"Look who finally decided to show up!" Caroline smirked while brushing her hair out of her face.
"So this all seems horrible." Banner said while looking at Natasha. To her reply," I've seen worst."
"Sorry"
"Stark, we got him." Steve informed
"Banner?" Tony questioned. " Just like you said"
"Tell him to suit up, I'm bringing the party to you." Stark informed the group. We saw the Iron Man suit fly towards them with the giant following him. Thro gripped his hammer as Natasha looked up in disbelief," I don't see how that's a party." Banner was walking towards the Chitauri," Dr.Banner, now might be a good time to get angry." Steve told the man.
"That's my secret, Cap. I'm always angry." As Banner finished, he quickly transformed into his alter ego, the giant green mutant, the Hulk.
