Everyone was assigned their positions, Clint and Tony had eyes on the sky, Banner was doing whatever he does, Rogers, Thor, Romanoff and Kingsley were on the ground. The key, though, win or lose, is to never fail. And the only way to fail is not to fight. So you fight until you can't fight anymore. Hold up your head and enter the arena and face the enemy. Fight until you can't fight anymore. Never let go. Never give up. Never run. Never surrender. Fight the good fight. Even when it seems inevitable that you're about to go down swinging. Why do we even try when the barriers are so high and the odds are so low? Why don't we just pack it in and go home? It would be so, so much easier. It's because in the end, there's no glory in easy. No one remembers easy. They remember the blood and the bones and the long, agonizing fight to the top. And that is how you become legendary.

After constant rounds of bullets, it felt like the battle was never ending. Caroline's main goal was to get to Stark Tower and kill the Asgardian.

"Caroline! Stay focus, we can save Loki for last." Steve shouted over to her," Whatever you say, Steve." She thought to herself and started running toward Stark Tower going against Steve's order.

Caroline reached the penthouse level, walking out of the elevator she held a firm grip around her gun. "Pleasant to see you here, Ms.Kingsley." Loki taunted her.

"Wish I can say the same." Caroline replied while keeping her gun on him.

"I get it, you're furious. I killed one of your friends." He smiled while holding his hands up in defeat," If you want to end me, then do so." Caroline cocked her gun and placed her finger on the trigger.

"But if you want to end me now, you won't hear what juicy secrets I found out about your parents." Caroline froze," Ah, I see I found a weakness. Agent Barton showed me some information that SHIELD was hiding about all of you so called Avengers. Let me tell you, your father were very problematic person."

"You're lying."

"Now, why would I lie about something like that?"

"Because you're a dick!" Caroline shouted as she held the gun up again.

"Shoot me, you don't find out. Don't shoot me, we can continue this conversation someday." Loki tried swaying the girl.

"You know you shouldn't lie to a vampire especially one with enhanced hearing, your heartbeat increased, you're lucky if you never see my face again."

A loud growl was heard coming from outside, the two looked outside to see Hulk flying in. Caroline looked at Hulk in shock. He tried attacking Loki, until he threw a tantrum about being a God and being treated with respect, the green monster grabbed Loki and smashed him into the floors and walked away.

"I can close it!" Natasha voice ran through the earpiece.

"Can anybody copy? I can shut down the portal!" A quick wind blew past Natasha as Caroline arrived at her side, " I will never get use to your speed."

"Do it!" Steve yelled.

"No wait!" Tony stopped

"Stark these things are still coming down!"

"I have a nuke coming into town and I know just where to put in." Tony informed the group.

"Tony, that's a one way trip." Steve tried to convince him not to do it.

Everyone looked above them as they saw Iron Man suit carry up a nuke through the portal. "C'mon Tony" Caroline mumbled. Nothing was happening and Tony was nowhere to be seen, but Caroline had what most people never had which was hope.

"Close it." Steve told Natasha. The portal was closing and the Iron Man suit was falling from the sky, escaping the close, while everyone sighed in relief, and Caroline smiled.

"He's not slowing down." Thor started swinging his hammer but Bruce jumps and catches him, he slides down the building and onto the ground. They all run towards them and squat down.

Thor rips off his mask and stands up and Steve checks if he is still breathing.

"Tony, come on." Caroline shakes him but the suit was too heavy. Hulk stands up and roars startling Tony and Caroline.

Caroline sighed in relief and Hulk roars again, pounding his chest.

"What the hell? What just happened? Please tell me nobody kissed me."

Thor smiles and Caroline taking heavy breaths "We won," Steve nods

"Alright, hey! Alright. Good job, guys Let's just take a day. Have you ever tried Shawarma? There's a shawarma joint about two blocks from here. I don't know what it is, but I wanna try it."

"We're not finished yet," they all look up at Thor.

"...And then Shawarma after."

They all watch as Loki tried to crawl his way up the stairs but stops and turns around, seeing all of the Avengers right in front of him, Clint and Caroline both aiming their weapons at him.

Loki surrenders," If it's all the same to you.. I'll have that drink now."

Just when we think we've figured things out, the universe throws us a curveball. So we have to improvise. We find happiness in unexpected places. We find our way back to the things that matter the most. The universe is funny that way. Sometimes it just has a way of making sure we wind up exactly where we belong. We spend our whole lives worrying about the future, planning for the future, trying to predict the future. As if figuring it out will somehow cushion the blow. But the future is always changing. The future is the home of our deepest fears, and our wildest hopes. But one thing is certain: When it finally reveals itself, the future is never the way we imagined it. We're all susceptible to it. The dread and anxiety of not knowing what's coming. It's pointless in the end. Because all the worrying, and all the making of plans for things that could, or could not happen, it only makes things worse. So walk your dog. Or take a nap. Just, whatever you do, stop worrying. Because the only cure for paranoia, is to be... here... just as you are.
