Vanessa's POV
It's a week until Christmas and everything is going pretty good the doctor keeps giving us good reports I pick up my phone to see how things are going in Vegas. I pull up her number and wait on her to answer and when she does she sounds half asleep. "How are things in Vegas?" "Things went good there I met three of your favorite people while I was there but I'm not in Vegas anymore." "Well where are you now?" "I'm in Paris." I'm silent for a few minutes "You left the country?" "Yeah I'm probably going to stay here until after New Year's after that I might head to England or come back home I'm not really sure yet." "Come home so we can talk about this." "I'm not ready to come home yet I need to be here a little longer." "Can you at least tell me why you left?" "He never called Vanessa it's been a month and he hasn't called me." Now I finally understand why she left, she had to get away from him for her this was a way of healing and letting go, I thought things were working out between the two of them and I felt bad that she was upset. "So who did you meet while you were in Vegas?" "I met Zak, Nick, and Aaron while I was there they were all pretty nice and I took pictures with them, I'll let you see them when I come home." "Is Zak good looking?" "Oh yes he is wait until you see how close we were in the picture of us together." "Do one thing for me okay?" "Sure Ness what is it?" "Just be careful okay?" "I always am."
Mallory's POV
I look over at the clock and in France it is early I sit up and grab the remote and turn on the TV only to be greeted by him. It's the newest episode of Glee and there is Grant doing what he does best, singing and dancing with a genuine smile on his face. The warblers were singing Glad you came and he was doing a great job and I couldn't be happier for him but there was also that part of me that was upset that he hasn't called and once he is done singing I turn off the TV and get out of bed. I walk out to the balcony of my hotel room. There are a few people out on the streets below me and I see the street markets and vendors begin to open their shops. I have a view of the Eiffel Tower in my room and I look up and watch as the sun rises and slowly shines over it. I was a single person in the city of love with two more weeks until New Year's Eve. I'm torn on what I should do, I could keep going and go to England or I could go back home there is only one question I really need to ask myself where do I go from here? I couldn't stay away from home forever and I did promise that I would be back in time to be there when Vanessa had her baby. I feel the warmth of the sun reach me and I close my eyes and take it all in and keep thinking about what I was going to do after New Year's Eve.
