Sing it Again

Chapter 68

Nick's POV

Everyone needs someone to be there for them when they are sick and I guess now thanks to Vanessa making me take her some soup and stuff I was going to be Mallory's person when I get back to the store I unfold the piece of paper and look down at she had written and as I stare at the words in front of me I'm actually kind of shocked but I walk up and down the aisles until I find what I'm looking for I'm not sure what kind I'm supposed to get so I go ahead and grab four of them then I pay and make my way back to her house keeping my promise about not telling anyone who they were for after I get the bag I walk out and drive back to her house.

Vanessa's POV

Kevin stops the car in front of his mother's house and I take a deep breath then look up at it and I'm still nervous about this here we were five almost six months pregnant with our first child and we were just now telling her about it I jump when I feel Kevin's hand on my leg, and I look over at him "Everything will be fine okay don't worry it isn't good for the baby." I nod my head and we both get out of the car and walk around to the trunk Kevin opens it and starts getting our bags out then I grab his hand to stop him and look up at him he drops the bag on the ground and looks at me. I wrap my arms around his neck and kiss him then tangle my hands in his hair.

Kevin's POV

The moment her lips touch mine I forget where I am and everything around us disappears it is only just the two of us this is what happens every time I kiss her. I kiss back and wrap my arms around her waist and pull her to me neither of us hear the door open or close but we are brought of it by my mother's voice. She steps off the porch and I run over to her and hug her she looks me over and starts making a fuss over me like all mother's do when they haven't seen their kids in a while and I smile and let her then Vanessa walks up next to me and my mom's eyes go over to the bump. She walks over and immediately starts touching it and talking to it in a baby voice and Vanessa looks at me. "How far along are you?" Vanessa clears her throat before answering "Five months." "Do you know what you are having yet?" "It's girl mom." When I tell her I can't stop the pride slips in my voice as I'm talking about my baby girl. "Come on in and unpack your things." Vanessa and I follow my mom in the house, when we get in the house my mom turns around and looks at me "Your room is still the same." I walk upstairs with Vanessa following me to my childhood bedroom.

Grant's POV

While I have some time in between my next take I walk off set and pull my phone out again and call her and I'm relieved when she does. "How are you feeling babe?" "Not so good warbler I got sick again." "Have you been able to eat anything at all since I left?" "Nope not yet I go from sleeping to throwing up then back to sleep." "Are you sure you don't want me to come home?" "Stay where you are warbler this will be gone by the time you get back I promise." I let out a sigh because I'm not buying it but she can be pretty stubborn at times "How is Jett?" "He's fine he stays curled up by my feet most of the time but I can tell he misses you." "I miss him too babe and I miss you." "I miss you too warbler." "How's it going so far?" "Not so bad yet but we haven't started learning the dance routines for certain episodes yet either." "You'll do great I know you will." "Thanks for the support babe." "Any time." I hear my name being called and I know I'm fixing to have to go and I tighten my grip on the phone as if it is her. "I'm being called so I have to go I love you babe." "I love you too warbler see you when you come home." I hang up and walk back to the set feeling a little upset that I can't be there for her when she is sick.

Mallory's POVOnce again there is a knock on my door and Hades beats me to it I walk over and open the door to see Nick standing there again with what I asked for in a bag "Did anyone ask?" "No you're good." I take the bag from him "thanks for doing this." "Do you want someone to be with you when you take those?" "If you don't mind staying a little longer yeah I would like that." Just as Nick goes to step inside Hades gets between him and me with his teeth showing and a growl coming from his body. With the little strength I have left from being sick I grab his collar and pull him away from the door giving Nick a chance to get in. "Sorry about him he's been acting that way since this started." "Dogs can sense it you know?" "No I didn't but let's get this over with." He follows me then takes a seat on the bed while I walk in the bathroom and open all four boxes following the instructions for each one when I finish I step outside with the door open and wait for the time to go off.allory's POV
