"Thomas! Come on, our plane leaves in few minutes!" My mom called for me.

I and my awesome parents were heading to an independent house in Los Angeles, California for summer vacation. They both combined their money to afford the house, I never saw it so I'm pretty excited. The flight was four hours and twenty-eight minutes (thank goodness we lived in Miami, Florida.)

We were already at the airport, ready to board the plane, I was a drag most of the time since I wasn't too fond of heights. "Come on Thomas, it won't be that bad." My dad said, laying a comforting hand on my shoulder. "I hope your right dad," I said, every bone shaking in my body.

After the nice horrendous flight and a stop to a local McDonald's. We were in a car that we long rented ahead of time, heading to the house. My dad said we were almost there, even though he said that about three times now. I must say, the drive through Los Angeles was absolutely beautiful, I even saw the iconic 'HOLLYWOOD' sign, quite the sight to see actually.

Now no longer in the city, we were cruising silently on a dirt road, passing by multiple trees and seeing many animals as we passed by. Didn't know we had residential deer and other animals around.

"Alright son, close your eyes." My dad said, glancing in the rearview mirror to see my face. "Okay," I said while closing my eyes. A few moments of driving would pass by till I felt a turn and the car finally came to a stop. "Okay, open them." My dad said. "Slowly, though!" Saying reassuringly. I opened them just how he instructed and saw a white wall. To get a better look, I got out the car and took in the beautiful white building in front of me.

This house was a piece of art: Large windows perfectly designed, symmetrical roof style, a beautiful wooden door, the house itself was welcoming. The grass was so green, beautiful trees that went well with the house.

"Just wait to you see the inside Thomas." My dad said.

After the beautiful tour of the house, I was upstairs in my large room. Back at home, my room was big, just not this big. This room could hold two of mine, a beautiful king sized bed, a pool table, a large wardrobe, and the best part? It's all to myself, me and my large sixty inch LG Television are going on a date tonight after I set up my console whenever I unpack.

Laying on my bed, I looked over to the window that I had in my room. Growing curious, I got up and walked towards the window. To be honest, I had forgotten about the window in the first place. I placed my hands on the latches and lifted up the window. The air, welcoming me with a natural warm scent. I looked into the beautiful horizon. This place was perfect, I wish I could just live here forever. I brought my attention to a set of trees, I had forgotten about the ones we passed just to get here. Being out in the middle of nowhere really did have its perks. Sure, I did miss the children that played outside with their dogs and seeing the cycle of the suburban life. But, even suburban life can't beat being one with nature. Nothing but you and mother nature in the scenery.

The door to my room opened. "Hey, Champ." My dad's voice echoed through the room. His footsteps softly approached me, soon he was standing right beside me. "Beautiful, isn't it?" He asked me."Sure is." I replied."You know? We were really skeptical about buying this place." He said to me, why would anyone be skeptical about buying this place?!

"Why?" I asked.

"Well." He started. "This place has gotten many bad reviews. Many couples who bought this home all left due to something being in these woods."

"People left because they didn't like wildlife?" I scoffed. " I bet it was raccoons."

My dad chuckled at my comment. "No Thomas, unless raccoons are bigger and walk on two legs." What? What does he mean bigger?

"What do you mean by bigger and walking on two legs?" I asked once more.

Dad pointed out towards the woods with his index finger, "Someone or something walks on two legs and stands over nine feet tall." Funny little story, my dad really has a thing telling stories and myth. He wasn't fooling me like he thought he was.

"Dad. We both know that no one is over nine feet tall. Not even Robert Wadlow is over that height. What makes you think someone is above him?" My dad chuckled and ruffled my hair. "I don't know champ. But whatever is in there, it made seven families leave, and tipped multiple vehicles, one was found near a tree." I scoffed in disbelief, "I know you are finding it hard to believe Thomas. But one couple lost their dog, in those woods, and said to have seen a tall figure walking back towards the woods. It was dark and since there is no street lights are out here, it was almost impossible to see. All I have to say, Thomas, let's stay away so we don't have to find the hard way okay? Real or not, stay away."

I nodded. "Okay Dad, but I seriously doubt there's a giant lurking around."

Is there?...
