Oh Nancy -26-

It's been about a week since we had seen Amy. Brad called the home to check on her and he was able to talk to her. She told him that she had told them everything that she told us. They did verify her alibi for the night of our accident so the police know. She said she was being charged for a stolen vehicle but because of her mental health charges may be dropped. Amy is required to spend 6 months at the home to make sure her medications are right and goes through the treatments.

The police however are investigating Nancy and really there's no proof that they've found yet. She's covered her tracks well. So it's pretty much Amy's word against Nancy's. Brad did tell them she's been off her meds.

Ivan has his appointment today with the specialist. Hopefully he finds out what's going on. Nurse Abby is still staying with him too. Brad insisted on being at Ivan's appointment so he's running around getting ready to go. He yells from his and Courtney's room asking if I wanted to go too. I say yes and get my lonely little shoe on. He meets me at the living room and we head out.

Arriving at Ivan's Brad asks me to please pretend like we know nothing about Amy and Nancy and to just ignore her. We go inside and wait for the doctor to arrive. Once he arrives we fill him in with what he already knows but just want to make sure he didn't miss anything.

The doctor thoroughly looks Ivan over. He takes about 4 or 5 vials of blood. I look over and Nancy looks nervous. Maybe she's just anxious as to what the doctor has to say, I give her the benefit of a doubt.  Looks over the CT scan that he had done 3 days prior that Nurse Abby had him transported too and says that it looks pretty normal.

"I'm going to run the blood work. I'm running every test possible on his blood. His scans look normal, so I'm not too sure what's going on yet. Give me a few days to run the tests and hope we have some answers." The doctor says. "Brad right?"

"Yes." Brad answers.

"I'll be in touch since you are his point of contact with the power of attorney." The doctor says.

"That's ridiculous!" Nancy yells. "I'm the one taking care of him!"

"Um actually I have been!" Nurse Abby says.

"Stop! All of you!" Brad yells. "All of you will know as soon as I know."

"The hell with you! I want to see his supposed power of attorney." Nancy demands.

"I'm sorry ma'am but that's against HIPAA." The doctor responds.

Brad walks over and shakes his hand, thanks him and the doctor leaves.

"How dare you Bradley!"

"Mom seriously get a grip! I'm tired of you lately! Take your goddam meds already!" He snaps.

"Don't you dare talk to me that way!"

"What way mom? The same way you're talking to me? You have a lot of nerve after everything you've done!"

I pull my phone out feeling it vibrate from getting a message. It's Derek, but I ignore it and go to the voice recorder hoping Nancy says something to use against her.

"I don't know what you're talking about Bradley!" She says.

"Let's see mom should I start with flipping out at Ella's welcome home party where you knocked her on her ass and threw her belongings over the second story railing, or you running my fiancé and Ella off the road causing Courtney's car to flip landing Ella in the hospital and losing her baby!"
