This past week in our new apartment has gone pretty fast. Nancy has tried to call us many times but I'm not answering her and I don't think Brad or Courtney have answered her either. I'm pretty certain we have nothing to say to her. Thank god she doesn't  know where our new apartment is. Brad does go to check on Ivan every other day when he knows his moms not there. Nancy apparently had nurse Abby move in to take care of him round the clock since we all moved out.

I'm getting very bored of sitting here though. Can't do much with this giant cast on my leg though and I still have a little less than 3 weeks to go. Derek's been trying to do what he can to help me between class and work. Courtney and Brad have also done so much.

Today I'm having a bit of hard time though. Seems my balance is off and I keep hitting everything. Hobbling into the kitchen to get a glass of water I hit the wall with a crutch and  stumble dropping both my crutches and manage to catch myself on the counter top.

Brad comes running in. "Hey let me help you."

"I didn't know you were home."

"Yeah my boss is now letting me work from home so I can help you out and make sure I can drop in on Ivan."

"Oh that's nice. You don't need to be here for me though I can manage on my own."

He starts to laugh. "Clearly you forgot that you just dropped your crutches and almost landed on your ass."

"Hey I'm trying here. I'd gladly trade you places and you can wear this cast." I giggle.

"Here." He hands me my crutches and takes my glass of water out of my hand. "Go ahead into the living room I'll get your water and grab the sandwich I made for you."

"You know Courtney is beyond lucky!" I say making my way to the living room.

Brad comes in and sits next to me,  he hands me my sandwich and water. I place my water on the table next to me, prop my leg up and start to eat my sandwich.

"So I did talk to my mom."

"Oh yeah?" I ask.

"Yeah. Apparently she's stopped taking her meds. Her excuse was because it makes her loopy and she can't be like that when she's trying to take care of Ivan."

"What's wrong with her?"

"She suffers from manic depression. She's on Prozac for it. I should have known she was off her meds."

"Wow has she been like this her whole life?"

"No. She's always been loyal about taking her medicine."

"That sucks Brad. I'm sorry."

"No I'm sorry for what she's done to you."

"It's ok. You have no control over it."

"Did you want to run over to Ivan's with me to check in on him? Get you out of the house for a bit." Brad asks.

"Yeah I can do that."

We head over to Ivan's and make sure he's ok. Still no changes. Nurse Abby had made herself at home and is taking over his house. Her stuff is everywhere. Brad tells her she needs to clean up that it's still Ivan's house she's just a guest in it. She gets mad and storms into the kitchen. Brad finishes going over the bills and tells Abby we will be back in a couple days.

We get in the car and drive off. We meet Courtney for dinner and he tells her about his mom. He tells her about how the house is a disaster. After dinner we head back home and decided to play monopoly.

After we finish the game I head to bed since I have a doctors appointment early in the morning for my leg. This cast is killing me. It's really starting to become uncomfortable and painful in some spots. Morgan is going to pick me up and take me.
