Riley's POV

"You can join the earliest as possible. Maybe from tomorrow. Let me inform Hailey. She'd be overjoyed to hear this news" She beamed at me and I just shrugged.

I wasn't knowing whether I was doing the right thing. Was I making a mistake? Cause it didn't seem so. It felt so right.

I decided to spend the rest of the day with my mother going for sightseeing in New York. I was born and brought up here, but quite a lot of time had passed since I'd seen this city. We saw the empire state building, the central park, the statue of liberty, etc and ended up in the times square doing a lot of shopping. I ended up holding all the bags( It's me, it's always me). I didn't realize how much I missed this place before. Aunt Susan took us for dinner in the famous Gramercy Tavern restaurant. The food was so mouth-watering and delicious that I ended up leaving with a protruded belly.
Finally we came home and now I was lying on the bed thinking what the next day is supposed to bring me. What kind of people will I meet? Will I make any friends? I've never been that social kind of girl. Even in college I used to sit alone and was the first one to leave when the class ended. I hope working in Victoria's secret is going to be a great experience for me.

I woke up having a really bad cramp in my leg. This was definitely the effect of yesterday's 'that shop is left' shopping. Quickly, I took a warm bath and after putting on my retainer, two shades darker foundation, applying extra kohl to my eyes and putting on my glasses, I searched in the cupboard for some presentable clothes for about half an hour only to decide to wear casuals. I hopped on a black baggy tee which quoted 'Oh well, I don't care.' and a skinny jeans. After wearing a matching pair of sneakers, I was done dressing up for today. It's good that I don't sweat much unlike some of my friends who used to stink like a pig. I just want to be comfortable for my job. I quickly tied my hair in a high ponytail and left to find the not-so-identical-but-very-identical sisters. I found them already gossiping at the breakfast table. As soon as they looked at me, together they beamed a smile and I notice for the first time that even after so major differences, they both look so similar.
I carefully jotted down the address of the Victoria's Secret New York Sub-quarters. After the breakfast, I quickly gave a hug to both of them and decided to leave in my Aunt's car. Carefully, I drove towards my new job place. When I finally reached there, I was mesmerized by the beauty of the showroom. It acquired two entire floors of the thirty storeyed building. The Pearl white colour was accompanied by tall pillars and a huge digital board with bright purple initials displaying 'Victoria's secret'.

Enter in...should I?

Well let's not think

The floor was so dazzling that my eyes hurt. I found all kinds of clothing on the ground floor as I stepped inside and looked around. There were different racks and shelves containing yoga pants, T-shirts, sleep wear, sports accessories, bags, perfumes and many more merchandises. Each being body fittingly sexy and attached with a heavy price tag.

Great, the goal is to work on the ground floor

I spotted a blonde cashier who was indeed very happy to spot me too. My instincts reminded me that she was happy to spot a customer, not me.

"How may I help you ma'am?" she asked in a formal accent.

"I'm Riley Summers." I beamed a fake smile. " I have an appointment for a job here. Can I meet Ms Hailey?" I tried to be the gentlest.
