"It is better to remain silent and to be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt."

Riley's POV

I woke up with a jolt. Bright light gushed into the room as birds chirped at my window. The curtains were flying and everything about the morning seemed so peaceful. Then suddenly the realization of the bizarre events that happened yesterday came back. Yesterday was a really long day. I tried to remember things but the vision still remained blurred.

I got up and saw myself in the mirror. Why was I wearing a t-shirt and shorts to sleep? Where was my Batman's 'straight outta Gotham' nightdress? Suddenly, the faint memories from yesterday came back.

Holy lord, I puked on the jerk.

Zohac Hamilton

Well, I was so screwed.

My mother entered the room carrying a glass of orange juice and some crispy chips.

"Riley, oh thank God you're alright. Do you feel better after the sleep?" she asked and I nodded, grabbing the orange juice from her. Considering the condition of the throbbing in my head, I really needed that right now.

"You were unconscious when that guy brought you here. And you puked on that poor guy again and again." she frowned. "His shirt became a total mess. I washed, dried it and gave it to him." she sighed. "I thought of waking you up but it was better if you slept."

"Anyways, how are you now?

Did you eat something from outside?

Did you get into a fight?

Did you steal someone's teddy bear?

Don't tell me..did you again kill a mosquito and put it in someone's mouth?

Did you rob a bank?

You stressed yourself a lot didn't you?"

moms will be moms

"Oh my god. Mom I'm completely alright for God's sake. Why will I try to kill someone? And yeah, please let go of that mosquito thing. Hell, that was five years ago!" I face palmed myself in embarrassment. My cheeks reddened. "Stop it now. I'm absolutely fine."

She came nearer and sat right next to me on the bed. I felt her soft hands running on my messy hair.

"Darling, you'd never understand a mother's heart." she said, with a heavy voice. "I was so worried about you. Firstly, you came late. Secondly, you came in an unconscious state and that too with a guy. When I saw him, I thought he took an advantage of you or something. But no, the poor guy was soaked with your vomit." she stated and I just chuckled. "Oh sorry, he isn't poor. I just saw him on the front page of the New York times." she grinned. "Seriously, how on earth did you become friends with a guy whose father owns the Hamilton International Hotels?"

"Hamilton International? You mean the same hotel I was gawking on while sight-seeing?" I asked and she nodded.

The jerk's a billionaire??

I said that so quick that it sounded like Kevin the minion's makayo? In my mind.

Oh god it was so stupid of me to quarrel for a pair of glasses when he can buy trillions of them. And quarrel somehow reminded me of quirrel and I didn't want this to end up like a typical Harry Potter movie so I decided not to tell mom about the 'little' supermarket incident which happened when we first met.
