Chapter seven

You found me fragile
You caressed my face
You kissed me gently and made me stronger each day

I don't know when it happened
I just know it did
I don't know why you did me the way you did

You found me fragile
You broke my face
Rarely kissed me only called me a slut every day

You found me fragile
You have me broken
Twisting in the wind in all your commotion

You spit in my face
You call me bad names
You made me feel dirty with your little mind games

My world turned bloody
The bruises turned dark
I wish you could be different but you are what you are

You found me fragile
You took me away
It wasn't that long until my whole world washed away
And now six feet under I slowly decay.

" Matthew! I-"

"Save it bitch. Let's go." He gripped my wrist yanking me up from the chair. My eyes looked around frantically for Logan. My heart was racing he wasn't here did he hate me this much right now? Matthew chuckled darkly. My eyes snapping towards him a look of fear spread across my face. " He's not coming. " Dragging me out the door he threw me in the front seat.

My eyes stared down at the floor tears rolling down my cheeks. I didn't dare look him in the eyes. The drive was slow and quiet all of which Matthew wasn't. " It didn't have to be like this you know."

His eyes were focused on the road and his voice soft but I wasn't that stupid he had a death hold on the steering wheel his knuckles white with rage. I stared at my feet still not looking at him. Coming to a screeching halt the car stopped outside of the house. Quickly opening my door and grabbing me by my hair he dragged me into the house.

Booze and cigarettes were everywhere. He stood behind me quietly. " I'm sorry but you have to be punished." He said thrashing my face into a wall tightly gripping my hair. My nose breaking as an effect. I cried in pain as he pushed me against a wall.

" Look what you make me do! " he screamed in my face. My eyes were shut tight. His knee came into contact with my stomach forcing the air out of my lungs. Jumping on top of me he pounded my face furiously. I put my hands up to fend my face, " Please stop!" I cried. He then got real close to my face his hot breath hitting my cheek.

" What do you say? "

" Please don't. " I cried.

" Say it! " He screamed in my face.

" Thank you for my punishment I will never disrespect you again my love. Woof."

" Now tell me you love me. "

Breathing irregularly I spoke, " I- I love you. " I smiled trying to assure him.

The smile on his face faded. I didn't know what was happening I said it why isn't he happy? Before I had chance to react he spoke, " Liar." He brought the back of his hand hard on my face.

The force split my lip as blood spilled on the floor. " Matthew! You said you'd stop! " I cried as he kicked me breaking every rib in my body.

" You should have thought about that before you lied to me! "

" I wasn't lying. Logan please!" My hands quickly covered my mouth. His eyes were now blazed with fury. I had just called my boyfriend another man's name. Scratch that, I had just called my abusive boyfriend another man's name. I don't know if I should say this or not buuut... Oops.

" What did you just call me?"

I didn't answer him. " Did you- did you just call me another man's name? " he asked hysterically pulling me off the floor by my hair. " Still without a word I stared at him blankly.

" You little bitch!" He yelled throwing me side ways. My head bounced back off the small table in the living room as it banged off the table's edge. Falling to the floor I groaned finding that I couldn't move. But I could see the blood oozing from my head.
" Matthew help me. " I cried faintly. The look in his face showed only disgust.

" I don't help sluts." He said coldly before walking out the front door not bothering to close it behind him. His car speed away fast as if he was running away from a crime scene.

Laying flat on the floor surrounded by a puddle of blood. My eyelids were becoming heavy and my breath was slowing. " Mercury! " the voice sounded so far away.

" Logan?"

" Yes it's me Mercury. Keep your eyes open Mercury! "

" Can I close them just for a little? "

" No! "

" But I'm so sleepy. Let me go to sleep Logan."

" No! Let's talk. "

His eyes were desperate like they were begging me to talk. I didn't want to talk I wanted to go to sleep. " Okay, what's your last name? " I asked despite the fact I didn't want to.

" Dixie. Yours? "

" Nightingale. "

My eyes began to close. " No Mercury! You said you would talk to me, remember? I nodded as I heard the sound of sirens getting closer. " What's your favorite color? "

" Blue. Like your eyes. "

He smiled weakly at my answer. " Sir back away!" A strange new male voice yelled urgently as they lifted me onto the bed. The colors around me whirled but I could still hear his voice. " Mercury we're in the hospital! You're going to make it. " He looked down at me excitedly but my eyes closed and this time they wouldn't open.

" Mercury open your eyes! " Not fighting it anymore I said the one thing I could. The one thing he could understand.

" Goodnight. " I whispered.

" No! Doctor! " he yelled as his voice faded away in the distance.
