The Memories You Can't Remember

"Welcome to the Scotland Yard!" a detective investigator greeted me at the door.

"Hello. I'm here for the mission for an undercover investigation at the Phantomhive Manor."

The look on his face drastically changed and he led me down the hall to a secluded room."

"Why are you interested in that?"

"Personal reasons." I simply stated.

He let out a sigh and shoved a file across the table to me.

"Here is what you need to know about what we've found out so far. Unfortunately none of this can be proven so your mission might end up being useless. If this is something you'd like to do to make yourself feel better go right ahead."

"Supernatural things can't be considered real. I understand."

"You know that but you still want to do this? You're a strange girl..."

Of course if I told you my reasons, you wouldn't understand.

You see, someone is in danger, someone I care about, and I want to help keep a watchful eye for them.

Sebastian walked into Ciel's study.

"Young Master, an undercover investigator will be arriving from Scotland Yard shortly."

"It's not very undercover if you tell me about it." He looked up from his paperwork and gave a small smirk.

"Indeed."

"Let's be sure to show this 'investigator' Phantomhive 'hospitality."

Sebastian bowed with his hand over his heart and murmured, "Yes, My Lord."

I arrived at the Phantomhive Manor. It was quite an extravagant place.

That's what you'd expect from an earl.

A man came out to greet me, dressed in black I assumed he was the Phantomhive butler.

"Greetings, Milady. I am Sebastian Michaelis, the Phantomhive Butler, please follow me," I didn't really have much luggage with me but he took all of it off my hands and lead me into the manor.

"This is the room you'll be staying in for the duration of your time." He smiled and placed my things into the room.

He then came back out and escorted me to the young Earl.

"Welcome to my manor." The Earl said.

"Thank you for having me," I gave a small curtsy.

I absolutely hate this kind of thing.

"My name is Lisa Heartworthy. Pleasure to make your acquaintance."

"As you probably know I am Ciel Phantomhive, and this is my butler Sebastian Michaelis," he said pointing to the butler.

"What is the reason for your staying here?" he questioned.

The original plan was for me to be a temporary maid but considering he probably already knows I'm from Scotland Yard, it might not make much of a difference what I say I'm here for.

"I've been assigned here by order of the Queen to monitor your progress currently. Please pay no heed to my being here, as I shall try to keep out of your way."
