Epilogue

I had packed up my things, and was preparing to leave the Phantomhive Manor.

Everything was going well for me.

I completed the mystery behind the Earl Phantomhive, even though it wasn't what I was expecting.

Who could have predicted that his butler was from hell?

I didn't bother to go back to Scotland Yard and tell them anything.

Besides, they wouldn't believe me anyway.

I wouldn't believe me either.

I laughed at the thought.

A demon butler.

It's such a silly notion.

Ciel did keep his side of the bargain, and Arthur was allowed to go free.

I got the feeling that I went through this whole experience for nothing though.

I'm sure Ciel had no real intention of hurting Arthur, but whatever, that is in the past now.

Just as Mr. Spears had suggested in the virtual reality, Arthur used his traumatizing experience in his writing and in a few years became a famous author.

I had finally come to terms with my feelings for him, and was going to confess, but then I had found out that he was already engaged to be married.

Greatly distressed at the news, I returned to the Phantomhive Manor.

I'm not sure how much time had passed between when I was first there, to when I arrived again.

Ciel looked a little older, and Mr. Sebastian hadn't aged a day.

They gave me a job as one of the servants, I'm not quite sure what position you'd call it.

I wasn't exactly a maid, but I wasn't not a maid either. It was more like I was a cousin rooming with a family member until they got back on their feet.

Although I never did stop working for them.

They became my new family.

I'll never forget my time in the fake reality of Black Hearts Academy though.

It was far too entertaining.

I wonder where the next experience will take me...
