Lelah slammed her hands on the desk. "I said...tell me how you came back!" Sin couldn't answer. How could he? He couldn't remember anything with his amnesia. But he had to tell her something. "I don't know how I did. I awoke in the ruins of the city. I remember almost nothing from my past. I'm sorry." Lelah sighed and stood up straight. "That's not what I want to hear. I was hoping for information that would help against the Kakó." She tapped her fingernails on the desk. April walked forward a few steps. "After examining him, I did find something. The lines on his limbs show that he was turning into a Kakó, but it stopped. Or at least slowed down. The process of turning kept him alive all this time." Sin looked at his hands again. He was part of things. Monsters who threatened humanity. He was surprised that he wasn't already dead. "Sin," Lelah said. He looked up at her. She crossed her arms under her breasts. "It would seem that maybe the virus is neutralizing, but we've lost people after your death and they turned. Things don't add up. Maybe you're a full Kakó and they've learnt to turn into people or they're past selves. Either way, you're not human." Sin's heart began to beat faster. She was going to kill him. He understood. He could be a Kakó and not even know it. He was a threat to them all. "You will be kept away from the rest of us until we decide on what to do with you." Sin dropped to his knees. "Why not kill me? Just get it over with. I'm the shadow of a dead soul." His eyes teared up. "You're an idiot. We still need to test on you. It would be a waste." She turned to David. "Get them out of here and take him to his old room. Make sure a guard is on duty there at all times." He nodded. "Yes ma'am." April helped Sin back up into his feet. His old room. Memories would be found there.
