(Erin's Point of View)
I'd had butterflies in my stomach all day waiting for my date with Ryan. I'd spent the whole day getting ready. Honestly, the amount of times I put an outfit on only to change my mind was ridiculous. Finally, I settled on a plain black dress and matching heels. He'd told me he was talking me to a fancy restaurant so I wanted to look the part. I couldn't believe we were finally going out. I mean I'd wanted this from the moment I first met him. However, half a year later and finally we were going out on our first date. I checked myself over in the mirror which I'd gotten Ryan to hang in my living room and smiled to myself. I looked amazing in my opinion. I just hoped Ryan thought the same when he came to pick me up. Just as I thought that, someone started knocking at the door. I grinned and set my handbag down on the couch and made my way over to open the door. I took a deep breath before I turned the handle and swung it open to find a very nervous looking Ryan on the other side. My breath caught in my throat when I seen him. He looked amazing as usual.
"Well come on in." I said with a smile and stepped out of the way to allow him to walk through the door. He did and stopped in front of me with a massive smile.
"You look beautiful Erin," he said softly. "Honestly, I thought you looked amazing anyway but this, just wow." I felt the blush burn at my cheeks and looked down to avoid Ryan noticing I'd gone bright red. I walked over to the couch and picked up my bag.
"Shall we go then?" I asked and he nodded in response.
"Yeah I mean the reservations for seven so we have fifteen minutes to get into the city centre." he said looking down at his watch. I laughed at him and he looked up at me confused. "What?" he asked.
"Ry, I live just outside the city centre. It won't take long to get to the restaurant. Ten minutes at the most." I said. He just gave a nervous laugh and opened the door again letting me out first. He shut it behind him and I locked it before we headed down to his car or actually Joel's car which he'd borrowed. It didn't take long to get to the restaurant like I'd said. I walked in with Ryan holding onto my hand and he headed up to the waiter stood at a podium.
"Reservation for Fletcher?" he said with the grin I loved so much. The waiter looked down at the list in front of him and smiled back.
"If you'd like to follow me to your table." he said and started to walk through the room between tables. We followed after and I scanned the room taking everything in. The place was super fancy. Probably the most fancy place I'd ever been to for dinner. Ryan was really going all out for this date. We came to a stop at our table which was up the back in a secluded little corner. To me it was the perfect spot and obviously Ryan thought this too judging by the smile on his face. The waiter left and Ryan pulled out my chair for me allowing me to sit down. I smiled to myself at how cute he was being and sat down, putting my bag on my lap. He sat across from me and grinned as a different waiter approached us and took our drink order. He left swiftly and it was back to just us.
"You've went all out for this date haven't you?" I asked glancing around again.
"Yeah well I wanted this to be a date to remember." he said, also glancing around the room. "I swear its the most fancy place I've ever been. My parents brought me here when they came down to visit a few months ago. Then when I mentioned to my mum I had a date she told me to bring you here." he explained.
"Well it's definitely a good place for a date. Really classy. Swear its the most fancy place I've ever been to as well. I walked in that door and when I seen everyone sat down I didn't think I was dressed right." I spoke and looked down at my hands towards the end of my sentence.
