(Joel's Point of View)
So it was officially a year since Joanne and I started dating. It'd been one of the best years of my life. As well as having her in my life the lads and I had been posting covers onto YouTube and also a few of our own songs. Basically things were amazing for us right now. I walked into our bedroom to find Joanne struggling to get the zip on her dress to the top. I snuck up behind her and zipped it the small bit that was left and spun her around to face me.
"Well aren't you looking gorgeous tonight. Special occasion?" I asked winking at her. She smiled and I watched as her face turned a slight shade of red.
"Just an anniversary dinner with my boyfriend. You may have heard of him, Joel Peat? He's in a band called Lawson?" she said with a small smirk.
"Hmm, I think I have heard of him. He's the one that's mega handsome, sexy, funny, talented and loves his girlfriend more than life itself." I said leaning down and kissing her softly.
"Don't be so big headed. But yes that is the one." she laughed after pulled away from our kiss. "Can you believe we've been together a year already?" she asked. I shook my head.
"No, I still remember the first day we met and you basically wanted nothing to do with me. But I wanted you so bad I changed for you." I said hugging her tightly. She squirmed slightly until I let her go. She walked over and sat on the bed to put her heels on.
"Cute, I'm glad you did because I don't know what my life would be like without you Peat." she said standing up. I laughed slightly and she frowned at me, her bottom lip sticking out slightly. "What?" she asked.
"Nothing, I just love when you wear heels. It's a change from seeing you being so small." I explained taking her hand and leading her out the room and downstairs. We headed into the living room where everyone was sat watching TV.
"Aw look at the lovely couple." Andy smiled. I grinned at him and put my arm around her waist.
"Where you two off to then?" Erin asked leaning her head on Ryan's shoulder.
"A very special restaurant. The one I took Joanne to on our first date in London." I smiled. I watched as Ryan made a gagging noise and Erin smacked his arm.
"Can't believe you two have been together for a year already." Ryan said. "I mean I remember when you thought him and Erin had a thing going on." he said laughing. I watched Joanne shuffle from one foot to the other.
"Yeah, kinda jumped to conclusions there." she mumbled. I jumped in then.
"Anyway, we should get going. Leave you four socialites to whatever it is you have planned. See you all later." I said leading Joanne out the room. She gave me a small smile and pulled on her coat before walking out the door and to my car. I shut the door behind me then headed to the car to unlock it for us to get in. I slid in behind the wheel and stuck the key in the ignition. I started the engine then pulled out the driveway.

"So, one year together. How long do you reckon you'll put up with me for?" Joel asked after swallowing a bite of his food.
"Hmm, I reckon only a few more months before I trade you in." I laughed.
"I am hurt Joanne. Here I thought we'd be together for years to come." he said holding a hand on his heart, pretending to be hurt.
"Oh stop with the dramatics. I don't plan on leaving you ever Joel. Seriously, we got through the first year so we can get through the rest. I'll be there for it all. You four becoming famous and travelling everywhere. I'll be there no matter what." I said reaching over and holding his hand. He ran his thumb across the back of my hand and smiled.
"Sweet. Don't know what I done to deserve you though." he mumbled.
"Same here. But who cares because I have you and you have me." I smiled. We stopped talking for a few minutes and ate in comfortable silence. "Where to after this?" I asked when we were finished eating.
"I was thinking home to watch a movie in bed. Sound good?" he asked and I nodded.
"Sounds perfect to me." I said. He lifted his glass up to his lips and took a sip.
"Did you know Adam and Andy have a bet going?" he said setting his glass down. I raised an eyebrow at him.
"About what?" I asked.
"They have a bet on who'll get engaged first. You and I or Erin and Ryan." he explained.
"I see. Who do you think will get engaged first?" I asked taking a sip from my own glass. He coughed a little before finally answering.
"I don't know. I mean could be either but seeing as we've been together longer, I think it could be us. And no before you think it I won't be proposing tonight." he said with a small laugh.
"I didn't think you would be. I mean I'd love to some day but we've only been together a year. Maybe leave it for a little while." I said with a small laugh also.
"Well you've spoiled it now by saying you'd love to. Ruins the anticipation of your answer." he said.
"Aw, I'm sorry Joel." I replied smiling.
"I forgive you. So how about a toast?" he said lifting his glass up again. I copied his action and smiled. "To us, one year together already. I think we can just about get through anything. So here's to us and the next year together." he said softly grabbing onto my free hand.
"To us." I repeated and took a sip of my wine. Joel leant over and pressed his lips against mine. After a year together he still gave me butterflies whenever he kissed me.
"I love you Joanne." he said pulling away. I smiled at him and gave him a quick kiss.
"I love you too Joel." I said smiling once again.
