I do apologize for my extended absence. I will be returning to my regular schedule (updating Unexpected Changes once every ten days and As A Team once or twice a week) shortly, if I can manage to overcome the challenge of finals.
Love you all, my darlings.
"You're going right now? Can I tag along?" Mitch asked.
Avi shrugged. "I mean, sure. I don't care." He ran his hands through his long hair.
Mitch grabbed a bag and threw on a coat before turning to Scott. "I'll see you later, Stephanie!"
Scott watched as Mitch left with Esther and Avi, not saying anything as the door closed behind them.

"Mitch, hurry up! We're going to be late! I wanted to see the previews!" Esther yelled.
Mitch huffed in mild exasperation. "Sorry, Scott. Can I call you later? Esther and Avi are ready to go."
"Okay," Scott replied.
"Thanks so much! Love you!"
The call ended. "I love you, too" Scott muttered.

"Anyone want to go on this coffee run with me?" Avi asked the group.
No one said anything for a while, but finally, Mitch hopped up. "I'll accompany you, Big Daddy."
Avi smiled at the younger man and wrapped an arm around his shoulders. They walked out, leaving a silently glaring Scott behind.

"We have absolutely got to go to this new store I saw on the way here!"
"Why don't we go together?"
Ester beamed. "Yes! Right now!" She hesitated. "As long as you and Scott aren't busy."
Mitch waved a hand. "No, Scott can wait for a while. Let me just text him so he won't be surprised when I'm not home."
Heading out to go shopping with Esther. Will be back later. XOXO

"Mitchell? Do you want to join us?"
Mitch glanced at the blonde beside him. Scott sighed and waved a hand. "Go on," he said, his voice cold and hard.
Mitch's eyebrows rose in surprise. "Are you sure?"
Scott bit his lip to keep from lashing out at the brunette. "Yes. Go!"
Avi even noticed Scott's mood but said nothing as Mitch followed after him and his sister.

Scott sighed as he ran a hand roughly through his hair. "I just don't understand, Kirstie."
The blonde woman rubbed his back in a soothing manner. "You need to talk to him."
Scott snorted. "Oh, how many times that single sentence has been said. Anyways, that's the last thing he's been interested in doing, lately."
Kirstie gave him a pointed look. "You know it's true. Nothing is going to change unless you tell Mitch how you're feeling."
A fist hit the table softly. "I'm saying that I can't! He's never around long enough for me to talk to him, and when he does happen to be home, Avi and Esther are always there!"
Kirstie sighed. "This jealousy isn't good, Scott. It's going to affect the group."
"I know," Scott groaned. He stared, unseeing, at the coffee in front of him. Finally, he relented. "If I catch him at home tonight, I'll talk to him."
