It took us a while to get to my house, no one said a word about the mystery man throughout the drive, I was tempted to ask Cero how he knew the man in the hoodie but I knew it would be best if I kept quiet about it. We pulled up at the gate and the Tier Rangers let us in, my Moms in the Supreme Council, of course we need protection, my heart drops as I see a police squad car parked in front of our garage. No one said a word about that either but I could feel they where all as scared as me as the tension in the air built. I hoped for the best and prepared for the worst as I rung the doorbell.
Suddenly the door slides open, Amanda is standing in the door giving me the stink eye.
"I'll explain..."
"They're searching the whole place!" She says in a hushed voice cutting me off.
"What are they doing here?" Roy says in a hushed voice now inside.
"You tell me! They obviously know about your hacking and all they need is your computer...computers to prove it."
"Have they been outside?" I say now more panicked than afraid.
"No, they've been searching your room and the study quite extensively though." She says heading to the stairs listening carefully, she then comes back. "Yep still there alright."
"Don't we have a contingency plan for this type of situation." Aries huffs casually leaning on the wall on her side with her arms folded.
Oh please relax its not like your reputation or freedom is on the line Aries!
"Of course we do." Roy says. "We have a remote and if pressed it will automatically delete everything we've ever done on any of our computers and save it."
"Then what are we waiting for!" Aries says in a loud hushed voice now off the wall but with her arms still crossed.
"Unfortunately I don't have it with me, Lel does." Everyone then looks at me with hope.
"It's on the key hanger next to the backyard door."
Cero slaps his forehead in astonishment.
"I never thought we where gonna need it." I say defending myself.
"Yeah real smart, you know you could've just given it to Roy or put it in a more secretive place Lel..." Barbella says pushing her blonde hair back while pinching the bridge of her nose, "...Not where everyone can see it."
"Don't worry, I'll quickly get it, come back, press it and boom! We can go on with life." I say with a smirk. "Simple..."
"I'm afraid not, you have to be seven feet from the computers for it to work." Roy informs.
Everyone collectively sighs.
"What! That is completely and utterly..." Eddric begins but he stops as the police officers come down the steps.
"Oh...Lel...and friends." The darker skinned officer says surprised.
