The Time Watcher

Lel stared at young Lel as he swung gleefully in the luscious meadows. Everything was blurry and dull. Lel continued to his happy former self. Young Lel stopped swinging and faced his future self puzzled.

"Hello." Young Lel greeted politely.

"Hey." Lel greeted back with a kind wave.

They stared at each other while the wind kissed their bodies as it passed by, dragging leaves with it. After a while young Lel raised his voice.

"Mommy says I have five more minutes to swing, you can swing with me if you want." The fractious little boy offered as he gestured to the empty swing next to him. Lel could've sworn the swing wasn't there when he met young Lel but he smiled and sat on the swing anyway.

The two of them swung as the hot sun kissed their skin.

"This....is beautiful." Lel uttered under his breath as he glanced upon the beautiful grass lands that spread as far as the eye could see. Lel then looked up to the giant silky sky and to the hot raging sun, he was amazed as he realised he wasn't in the dome anymore this was the outside world. Lel then turned his attention back to the beautiful meadows but the beautiful meadows where no more. Sand replced the grass and hot dust replaced the wind.

Lel, who was quite frankly shocked, turned to young Lel for answers but only found dry bones where young Lel once was. Lel immediately jumped off the swing frightened. He landed on the hot sand and watched the swing rust away and that's when he started running. Lel tripped on a dead tree and fell on the dusty ground hard. He tried to get up but the ground pulled him down. It slowly started pulling him inside. Lel tried screaming for help but his voice was drowned away by the screaming voices telling him

"You killed us!"

"There's nothing left, nothing!"

"Murderer! Murderer! Murderer! Murderer!"

Sand started filling into his mouth, eyes and ears, as the chant rang in his head;

"Murderer! Murderer! Murderer! Murderer!"

My eyes burst open as I wake up in a cold sweat. Everything focuses as my breathing returns to normal. I come to a conclusion that I've just woken up from a hellish nightmare but I haven't come to realise where I am. I briskly shoot up from the ground. I swivel my head as I survey my surroundings.

I'm all alone on a train.

Baffled by the lack of people I however continue to the sliding door in order to continue to the next part of the train in hope of trying to get answers as to how I got here. As I approach the door I can hear muffled voices, my heart jumps for joy as I hear the voices of my friends which quite frankly fills me with blithe. My casual strides quickly turn into a brusque gallop as I clatter into train seats and other various objects situated in this dubious room of the train.

The door slides open and I expect to be greeted by seven ebullient teenagers but of course it can't be that direct. I'm instead greeted by six emotionless plasma rifles all aimed forcefully at me. My arms shoot up almost instinctful. The word frightened couldn't come close to explain how I feel and in cases like these new words must be invented, I was completely ferventiously fearful but is it ok to say I'm completely furious too, I mean com'on one minute you're trying to sneak out of your mansion the next thing you know you're on some train with people pointing guns at you.
