Promises

Carmen's pov.
We arrived just in time to see my parents walk out of the door. It had stopped raining now and everybody was laughing. Watching from the rolled down window, a tear rolled down my cheeks. How happy they looked. Was it always like this?
I turn when the door slammed shut.
Romeo walked up to his parents and smiled.
I stepped out, smiling when my mom looked at me,surprised.
Then she turned to Romeo and smiled

"I didn't know you were bringing her back. Thank you."
He smiled at mom and looked at me. His brown eyes watching me.
So mom didn't send him
So he came on his own because he didn't want me to walk in the rain.
I stood there,my smile disappearing.
"Carmen,honey..we are leaving tonight. I an so sorry.Papa and I will be back in 4 days. Till then Romeo will stay with you because Victoria is going with David to Kenya and..
"Brooklyn has his camps..and cruz and harper are going to granny's. Romeo has his school so we thought it will be better if he stayed." David completed laughing and messing up my hair.
I swear everything froze.
I looked at Romeo. He was staring at Victoria..his face cold.
Great.

Mom kissed me on my forehead and dad hugged me.
Victoria and David both kissed Romeo on his forehead and then hugged me.
Soon, the black mercedes rolled away leaving both of us standing there on the steps.
Talk about awkward.
He opened the door speaking at the same time," You want to order in or make something?"
I looked at him, I don't even know what my face must be looking like.
Is he being fucking serious?
"I think I will order. If that is fine with you. "
It is gonna be a long time.
"Okay" he nodded.
We both entered and climbed up. Not a word passed.
As he was entering his room he called out.
"Pepperoni pizza or shredded chicken 65?"
I froze, turned and looked at him.
How the fuck did he guess?
There is a small flicker of smile on his face.
I called out " Coke with spagetti?'
I don't even know where did that come from?
It just popped up.
He is looking at me surprised.
Then suddenly the pain.
Oh no.not again.
"Hey, can I take your order?"
Romeo looked at me from across the table.
"You first?"
The waitress turned towards me smiling.
"Being much of a gentleman huh! I would like to have..
"Pepperoni pizza or shredded chicken 65."
Romeo completed my sentence looking at me and smirking.
The waitress smiled obviously guessing our closeness.
"He will have spagetti with coke"
I smirked back.
"Only you will have coke with spagetti."
He laughed looked at the waitress and then kissed me on my cheek,putting his hands around me.
I opened my eyes.
Ouch! My head hurts.
That damn flashback.
"You okay?" I turned to see Romeo looking at me his eyebrows scrunched up.
He looked funny and worried at the same time I ended up giggling.
Fuck! We were suppose to be not talking to each other. And I am damn sure I am in his room.

There was something scribbled on the wall. I squeezed my eyes to see it better.
" Time flies.
Promises break but one day
One day I will be back
And then maybe
we will have snowfights

I gasped. All these times..
I looked at my side.
On the sill, a picture was kept.
The girl was smiling in the picture and there was a boy kissing her neck. Both were laughing. I didn't have to ask who they were.
Romeo was looking at me, I was looking at the picture. Underneath the photo,someone had scribbled,
' I will wait no matter how long it takes.'
