It's my first day of school. But I think I got here too early it's just 6:00 am and my class is around 8:30 am so first I went to McDo.
During my meal, I noticed a man sitting on a table in the corner. Parang kilala ko siya. So I approached him, somewhat when I got close to him he hid in the hood of his jacket.
"Damian ?!" Tawag ko sakanya, anong ginagawa niya dito. Bat siya nagtatago.
"Young Lady!" Tayo niya.
"What are you doing here?!" I said in an unbelievable tone
"Ahm, Young Lady it's, Ahm." He could not find the words to say to me.
"Dad?" I asked, always, eh, always meron na nga si Jayden e. Pero diba siya ang gusto kong andito hindi si Jayden?
"No." I looked at him nang sumagot siya.
"Do not cover Dad." I crossed my arms
"Ahm, it's not what you think. I just want to ... nevermind I'll go ahead Young Lady. Stay safe." And then he goes running.
That guy was suddenly missing. Tsk. I'll try to eat anyway. Tsk. Next time. Kabilis naman non.
It's a long day but worth it because I've met friends. Like Steph nagkakaintindihan kami.
It's like in just a minute we clicked. I think we are gonna be good friends.
"Liyaaaah !!!!" Sigaw ni Steph pagkakita niya sakin sa McDo. May usapan kasi kami ngayon.
"Your late." Sabi ko sakanya.
"Bakit gutom ka na ba? It's traffic. Alam mo namang I have to commute everyday to go to school." Sagot niya at umupo na sa harap ko.
"Nextime wake up early." Irap ko.
"Let's order." Sabi niya alam niya nanamang sesermonan ko siya.
"Three big fries and two cokefloats" order ko saka kami umupo.
"Are we assigned with a homework on our class?" Tanong ko sakanya.
"No-" Naputol siya sa pagsasalita nang sinagot ng may tumawag sakin.
"Just wait. Sagutin ko lang to." Paalam ko at lumabs saglit.
"O Damian. Bakit?" Tanong ko
"You're Dad is ins the hospital. Asan ka susunduin na kita." Hinihingal na sbi niy
"Anong nangyari? Andito ako sa McDo." Sagot ko
"Sige pupuntahan na kita. Lumabas ka na." Pumasok nako at dumeretso kay Steph.
"Steph, I will leave first." Inayos ko na agad ang gamit ko.
"Where are you going?" Tanong niya pa sakin.
"I really need to go." Sabi ko sakanya
"Wai-" hindi ko na pintapis ang sasabihin niya at umalis na don.
Paglabas ko ng McDo agad dumating yung service sumakay naman ako agad.
"What happened? Is he okay?" I asked Damian
"Well he's okay Young Lady." He answered. Because Dad got shot, I'm so worried even though we don't talk much I still care. we got to the hospital where Dad was confined, it's more like a private hospital.
"Dad what hapened?" I asked my dad
"Nothing. It's nothing." He answers me.
"Who did this?" I asked. Nagaalala nako sinong gumawa neto?
"We can handle it. You should go back in manila." He commanded
"No. I'll stay."
"Damian, bring her back." He orders Damian
And because I don't have the power to argue. Sumama naalng ako kay Damian.
"I hate him." I said
"Who?" He asked
"Dad."
"You know what. Hating him will not get you anywhere." He smiled yeah he smiled it's once in a blue moon that I see him smile. we've known each other for years now but I did not see him smile except when we met in the states.
But I do not think I like him like that.
Mahalaga siya sakin bilang isang kaibigan.
