A.N:  Well here it is. The first chapter. I've already explained stuff in the introduction, so let's crack on then, shall we.  P.S Let me just apologise for all the bullshit beforehand  :)

Randomer's POV:

It was just a normal day. You're average, normal day. I was running my day-to-day errands that my wife sent me on. God, I hate these errands. They meant that I actually had to move and put effort into something. I'd rather just stay home with the kids all day. Even though I hated this with every fiber of my being, I didn't hold it against my wife. I love her. I love my family. They're all I live for.  (awhh :)  cliché, I know)

So I went about my business. Walking around town, checking my list and buying everything on it. This town was great. It was small but filled with the most generous and kind-hearted people you'll ever meet. Minestrone. (That's right, the town is called Minestrone. I know what I'm doin'. Sort of) This town is renowned for its pasta. The best pasta in the whole country. Maybe even the whole world, if you don't include Italy that is.

And that was the last thing left to do on my list. Buy pasta. Everyone in this town buys pasta. We eat it almost everyday. I took one last look at the list in my hand just to make sure, and there it was; written in my wife's beautiful handwriting was the word 'Pasta'.

Finally I reached a small little stall. The only thing it sold was pasta. I've been buying all our pasta from this stall for years... and years...and years..........3 years. I've been coming here for 3 years.

There stood a petite, old woman behind the stall. Francesca, that was her name. We know each other already since she's owned this stall her whole life and I am now one of her most frequent and valuable customers. "Ahh, Pedro!!! Mi niño. What kind of-e-pasta would you like today?'' Francesca asked with a huge smile plastered on her face.

"I think it'll have to be fusilli today, Francesca my dear'' I answered her question. "Oh, yes of course. I get it for you now'' Then she walked away to go retrieve a bag of fusilli pasta.

I reached into my pocket to fetch out the money that I must pay for the pasta. As I did so, I noticed Francesca waddling back towards me with a large sack of pasta.

I didn't even have time to take my hand out of my pocket, before everything seemed to pass in slow motion.........

'BANG!!!'

What the hell was that??? I turned to see people screaming and running for their lives. Their eyes were full of terror. They were running in every single direction not knowing what to do. I didn't know what to do either. I just stood there.

I heard another 'BANG'. Much closer to me this time. Then I heard the horrible 'smack' of a body hitting the ground. I turned. I couldn't believe it. My eyes must be deceiving me.

There lay the lifeless body of that dear, sweet old woman. Her eyes lay open in shock. The ground around her was covered in a mixture of pasta and blood. Why?? Why her?? Why kill an innocent old woman?? Who would kill an innocent old woman??

Then I saw them. Mysterious figures dressed in dark tattered clothes. They were destroying the town using every possible weapon you can imagine. I couldn't see there faces. They wore masks.

Suddenly, I saw a lightning-fast flask of darkness. I was lifted off the ground. There was a searing pain in my neck. I couldn't breathe. A darkly clothed hand was wrapped around my neck. It was one of them. One of those figures. It looked like a man. But there actions were nothing like those of normal men. Normal men don't go around killing people.

I grabbed onto his hand with both of my own, trying as hard as I could to pry them off me, but to no avail. Then it spoke to me, with a deep, coarse voice.

"It's useless. Struggling will only make it worse''

"Please.....Stop,'' I begged it. It was hard to get words out.

"Don't fight it....Just die''

"Wait....please....I have a....a family.....I have kids''

"You're point???'' Was all it said. That's when I realised how heartless this thing was. It had no shred of remorse.

It was getting harder to breathe. My vision was starting to blur. I knew I was reaching my end. "One day.....somebody's gonna stop you....somebody.....will right all you're wrongs.....'' I wanted to sound tough. Make my last words something to be proud of. For my family. I had to stay strong for my family. They were all I could see. The flashes of all the treasured moments of my life. I hope that they make it out of this somehow. These moments were the last things that I would see and amidst these treasured moments, the voice spoke to me again.

"Maybe you're right....Maybe someday, somebody will put a stop to us. But they won't make things better. They'll just be even crueler than we are. And even so........today,is not that day.''

Then all that was left....................Was darkness.

A.N: Well that was dramatic. But don't be expecting this kind of quality again. This was a one-time thing. Like Capital Expenditure. (Oh, the business jokes) The next chapter is where the real shit's about to go down. We'll finally meet the real stars of this show.

Well anyway. Hope to see ya next time folks. Bye-bye :D
