Mia's POV

"You guys are going to be late and Tyler is going to kill us all," I groan as Louis and Niall continue to kick around the soccer ball, stuck in their little competitive match.

The two of them completely disregard me as they keep a watchful eye on the other, waiting for someone to make the first move. They've been like this all day, after Niall told an interviewer he was the best soccer player in the group.

Louis has to be the most stubborn, idiotic person I've ever met...

Finally Louis takes a step forward and an intense match breaks out between the two of them. I flatten myself out against the brick wall as they send elbows and fight to the death for possession of the ball. Their strained grunts are also paired with playful laughter as they fight to kick the ball into the makeshift goals.

Niall nearly steals the ball away when we hear an ear-shattering chorus of screams down the road. My head snaps up and I see a mob of teenage girls racing in our direction. Again, I feel my body freezing up as I watch in horror.

Luckily Louis acts quickly and grabs me, pulling me onto his back as Niall props the door open. The three of us race inside the venue, completely abandoning the soccer match. Niall and Louis let out a loud laugh as we burst into the room, causing everyone to direct their attention to us.

"You guys are idiots," Zayn shakes his head and resumes his conversation with Lou and Harry.

Out of breath, Niall tries to fight through the laughter to tell Liam exactly what happened. Louis' body shakes with laughter as I grip onto him tightly. As Niall's words process in Liam's head, he turns and gives me a concerned look, knowing very well my attitude towards their fans.

When Louis finally lets me down, I smack his arm as hard as I can muster up in my shaken up state. After the shock leaves me, the anger replaces it inside my chest.

"I told you that was a bad idea," I complain, hating that I get so terrified by a group of girls far younger than me. It was beyond embarrassing; I'm totally fine with hitch-hiking across the country, but put a screaming pubescent girl in front of me and I'll have a heart attack.

It's ridiculous.

Louis tries not to smile, but it shows all over his face. He's not one that can hide his amusement well. His blue eyes light up with his smile, so I can see right through his mask.

"I'm sorry," He pouts his lips, "But you're safe with me, so I don't know why you worry so much," He smiles and leans down to peck me on my forehead.

Stunned a bit by his display of affection, I miss my opportunity to hit him in the gut before he scurries away to get dressed for the show tonight. Even after he's gone I can feel the imprint from his lips on my skin.

Knowing it was only a friendly gesture to irritate me, I groan and wipe my forehead clean from his lips.

That boy literally drives me up the walls. How he can be so lovable yet infuriating is past me.

The band is finishing up the final song of the evening; 'What Makes You Beautiful' as the screams of the crowd can be heard all the way backstage. Lou and I finally plop down on the couch after a long night of running around, fixing several malfunctions that came up randomly. I think our main job is to keep Tyler from spontaneously combusting.

It's nights like this that I feel bad that I'll be leaving them halfway through their tour. I literally have no idea how Tyler managed this all on his own before I came along.
