Mia's POV
Everything happens so quickly. First I'm watching as Shiloh gets out of his car, an incredibly surprised expression on his face; then the next thing I know I'm tossing my duffel bag to the ground and sprinting into his arms.
Just like old times, I jump into his large embrace, wrapping my legs around his waist and burying my face in his neck. I try my hardest to hide the happy tears that have welled up in my eyes. Shiloh's laughter mixes with mine as he squeezes me so tightly I can't breathe any longer.
"Mia, I can't believe you're actually here," He says in a whisper, his breath tickling my neck.
He pulls his head away from mine, forcing me to look him dead in the eyes. Letting out an embarrassed laugh, I wipe the tears that have formed in my eyes. But I don't feel so bad when I see his own eyelids being brimmed with tears as well.
I snake my fingers up the nape of his neck, tangling them in his dark blonde - borderline brunette - hair. I'm forced to hold on tightly because out of nowhere Shiloh lunges forward with his lips, pressing them against mine in the same, familiar manner.
Everything about his kiss is exactly the same. It's as if we were never separated. And here this was my biggest worry.
Now I have something else to worry about...
His kiss tastes and feels just as I remembered it, but at the same time it's different. There's something behind it that's no longer there; or perhaps there's something there that wasn't before. It causes my stomach to twist up in anxiety as my mind races at a million miles per hour.
Before I have any more time to analyze every little detail about our embrace, Shiloh's pulling away again, a grin plastered on his face.
"Mia," He says, sounding incredibly relieved.
Setting me down, he touches my lower back with his arm, ushering me towards his house, wearing that normal grin of his.
Like I said before; everything's exactly as I remember it to be, yet something's off. But I push that thought away and look up at Shiloh, wearing the biggest grin I've ever worn before. I missed the way he'd tower over me with his lanky figure, very similar to the way Harry had.
As the boys enter my mind once again - despite my hardest attempts of blocking them out completely - I have to wear a mask for Shiloh. Here we are being reunited after a month of separation and I'm still thinking about One Direction.
Bending down to grab my bag, Shiloh can't stop smiling at me. I bite my bottom lip and look away, rather embarrassed, which makes Shiloh chuckle - a deep rumble. The very sound that used to be ingrained in my memory now sounds foreign compared to the light and delicate laughter that belonged to a certain blue eyed British boy.
"I don't even know what to say right now," Shiloh shakes his head as he shoves his key into the door and scrambles to open it as fast as possible.
I can't help but to grin as I watch him shaking with excitement. He bounces from one foot to the other, glancing over his shoulder to me every few seconds.
Finally after a few moments of struggling, he manages to get his door open. I take a step forward to enter the house that belongs to Shiloh - the house that was supposed to be ours - but I'm blocked by Shiloh's head ducking down. He sneaks a quick kiss in before he allows me to take another step.
"Now it's really nothing much at all. I've been a bit too busy to buy any furniture or anything for this place, really," He rubs the back of his neck with embarrassment as I enter his house.
