^^^^^Mavin is the man above^^^^^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Mavin?" I say while slowly lowering my gun. He looks at me and his eyes become buck.
"Lashay? What the hell are you doing here?" He asks while walking towards me.
"I could be asking you the same." I say while looking at the drugs all over the table. I can't believe what I'm seeing. I turn towards Mavin to see him looking behind me with his jaw tightened. I turn to see Trey talking to some man and passing him a box. He looks over at me and his expression completely changes.
"Lashay? I thought I told you to stay in the car." He says while walking towards me. I slowly back away while putting my hands up. I can't fucking believe this. Not only does he sell drugs, but he has my cousin working for him.
"Trey we have known each other for a month. A whole fucking month and this shit never crossed your mind to tell me?!" I say while motioning towards his crew. I feel tears start to come to my eyes as I think back to my brother and how he was in this shit.
"Baby listen I-" He starts but I put my hand up and cut him off.
"I'm not your baby. Just take me home." I mumble while slipping my gun back in my purse. I walk by Mavin and bump him with my shoulder. I look back to see him looking at me and I glare at him before walking out the door. I open the car door and slam it shut before sitting back in the seat. I close my eyes while sighing. I can't even believe what's happening right now. I hear Trey's car door open but I don't even want to look at him. I just want to think to myself right now.
"Shay, Shay I was going to tell you bu-" He starts but I cut him off.
"Trey please. I don't want to talk about this right now. I just want to go home." I mumble while staring out the window. I hear him sigh before starting the car and backing out the driveway. The entire ride I just thought to myself. I never would have guessed that he did that. I think back to our conversations and did notice that he never brought up his job before. I shake my head to myself as I feel the car stop. I snap out of my daydream to see that we're in front of my house. I open the car door and start to get out before Trey had grasp my arm. I sigh before looking back at him and he looks at me while licking his lips nervously.
"So do this mean that you goin' stop fucking with me?" He asks and I look down at my fingers. I mean I really do like Trey from the month we spent together but I just have to process this.
"No Trey I j- I'm just going to need some time to think about this. Ok?" I ask and he nods his head. He leans in and tilts my chin up before kissing my cheek. I feel shivers go down my spine as he pulls away.
"Bye Trey." I say while stepping out of the car.
"Bye Lashay." He says before I shut the door. I walk up to my house as I think about when I saw Mavin. It was just like how I found out my brother was caught up in that mess.
Flashback
"Jody? Mama said to come eat!" I yell while banging on his room door. I hear nothing but silence.
"Jody!" I yell while knocking harder. Still no answer. I slowly twist the doorknob and push the door open to see drugs everywhere. In packages, in plastic bags, in boxes. I look at everything in shock and see several guns tucked in his cover. I hear his window rattling and I jump down by the bed, thinking its an intruder.
"Shit! Ah." I hear Jody mumble to himself before pulling the window back down.
"Jody?" I say while coming up from the side of the bed. His mouth drops open as he sees me and rubs his hand down his face.
