Lashay's POV
My heart drops at the words that just came out of Mavin's mouth.
"W-What?" I ask with a shaky voice and he looks at me with a confused look. My mind starts to flash back to all my other boyfriends and how they cheated on me and tears start to cloud my vision. I know I didn't know the truth but I couldn't help but figure the worst. I've been done wrong too many times.
"Baby? Are you alright?" My mother asks and I turn my head to see her looking at me from the doorway.
"I'm fine mamá." I say, quickly wiping away a tear that had fallen. I can't be breaking down and I don't even know what's going on. I feel her rub my back in a comforting way and Kera does the same on the other side. I feel tears start to come back to my eyes but I suck it up. I'm not about to look weak for no reason.
"It's ok Shay." Kera says in my ear and my emotions start to get welled up inside me.
"I said I'm fine!" I yell and they both gasp in surprise. I stubbornly wipe a tear that escaped my eye before going back to drying the dishes. I swear to God if Trey is cheating on me, I'm never falling in love again.

I pull in front of our house and park the car before getting out. I pull my keys out of my purse and unlock it. The door shuts in a thud as I throw my keys on the counter. I look at my watch to see that it's already 9:00.
I grab a bottle of henny out the liquor cabinet and pour some in a glass before trying to drown the doubtness in my head. I feel the liquid burn my throat on the way down. I go up to our room and open up his drawer and grab a roll of blunts. I grab my lighter before walking out by the pool in sitting in the chairs. I fire up a blunt and take a long drag from it.
I stay outside and smoke as I feel my high come on after the 3rd blunt. By the time I come down, it's extremely dark and cool outside. I start to get extremely hungry so I go into the kitchen and warm up some leftovers with another cup of henny. After I get done eating, I look at my phone to see that it's already 1:00 a.m. and I have to be at work at 8:10 a.m.
1:00 a.m. and Trey is still not home.
Right on cue, I hear keys jingling in the door and Trey shuffling into the house. I continue washing my dishes and putting them up.
"Shay?" I hear Trey say from behind me but I ignore him. I grab my phone off the table and try to walk out but he steps in my way.
"What's wrong with you?" He asks and I sigh loudly. He holds me by my chin but I snatch it out his hand.
"You been smoking?" He asks and I just stare at him.
"What you smoking for baby?" He asks and I roll my eyes in annoyance.
"Because I'm fucking grown and I can smoke if I want to." I snap and he stares at me in surprise. I guess the henny is making me bold.
"You on your shit or something? What the fuck is wrong with you?" He says while slightly raising his voice. I wrap my arms around myself before looking up at him.
