Lashay's POV
I wake up to the sound of loud knocking at the front door. Samuel looks over at Rico and they both shrug sleepily before Rico gets up and walks to the door.
I turn my head around to see who it could be this time of the morning.
"Lashay!"
I jump up out of my chair and Kera, Amy, and Vic were stumbling in.
They all start talking at the same time and I put my hands up to stop them from talking.
"I can't understand what you guys are saying if you keep talking at the same time!"
They all stop talking and Amy wipes a tear from her eye.
"The guys are in jail."
My heart stops and I buck my eyes to make sure I heard her correctly.
"What?"
"I don't even know how, they always kept things on the low and they were ever friends with some police officers!" Amy sobs out.
Vic comforts her as she breaks out sobbing in the middle on the kitchen.
"I....I need to."
I stumble backwards and Samuel runs over and grips my back.
"Maybe you should sit down Lashay."
I shoo his hand away from me while letting the tears fall.
"No. I, I need to see Trey. Right now."
"They are at the police station for holding. We were going just now." Kera says.
I could tell from her puffy eyes that she had been crying for some time.
"I'm going with you guys."
"Lashay I don't think that's such a good ide-"
I stop Rico mid sentence.
"I'll like to be alone with my girls for the rest of the night. Watch Jerry please."
They look at me with a shocked expression. But thankfully, they don't say anything.
They walk back to the living so that it's only me and the girls in the kitchen.
"I'm going to go and get a jacket. I'll meet you guys in the car."
They nod before leaving out the house, all of them looking extremely depressed.
I rush upstairs and reach for my leather coat until Trey's Nike hoodie catches my attention.
I wipe away a single tear and reach for his hoodie.
I craddle it in my arms, his scent feeling my nostrils which brought more tears to my eyes.
I can't lose Trey. I've fallen madly in love with this man in the small amount of time we have been together.
