Lashay's POV

The rest of the day I was just, happy. I didn't know that just that encounter would have me so cheerful.

"Girl why in the hell are you still smiling?" Tina asks from my office doorway.

"Because I'm happy." I respond while grabbing my purse from off of my desk.

"She definitely got some dick or something." Faith whispers to Tina.

I shake my head at them as I walk towards the door. I ignore the rest of their statements the entire time I walk out to my car.

Rico opens my door and I thank him as I climb into the backseat. I kind of miss driving my own car.

"Where did you say it was Miss. Lashay?" Samuel asks from the driving seat.

"3487 Yongo Avenue."

He nods at me before pulling out of the office parking lot and into the street.

Ding!

I pull my phone out of purse to see I have a new text from Leon.

Leon😋👫💙

What's the name of the shop again?~12:37 p.m.

Burgers & Blues~12:38 p.m.

I know how crazy things are right now but over everything, he's still my best friend. I wasn't going to push him away because we did something that shouldn't have happened.

We can just push past it. We're both adults.

It took us no time to get to the place since it was practically around the corner. Rico opens my door for me and helps me out of the car.

I walk up to the small restaurant with Samuel and Rico behind me like soldiers.

Samuel opens the door for me before getting back into his formation.

"Table for how many?" The woman at the front desk asks, looking at Rico and Samuel than back at me.

"Two."

"Please follow me."

I follow behind the woman as instructed and she ushers me to the side of the restaurant. I thank her before sitting down in the seat.

Right after I sit down, I see Leon walk into the restaurant. He had on a black button up top with grey dress pants and his dirty blonde hair slicked back. He looks really nice and professional. I wave my hand for him to see me and he smiles at me. He says something to the woman and she nods with a smile.

"Well look at you! Looking sharp." I say as I get out of my chair. He laughs at me before hugging me. I hug him back while smiling. It's as if nothing changed between us. We break away from the hug and he keeps his hands on my waist as he looks me up and down.

"You look beautiful as always." He compliments and I smile.

"Thank you."

We both walk over to our chairs and sit down. He looks at behind me for some time and I follow his eyes to see him looking at Rico and Samuel who was staring at us.
