Lucy was the only person I could ever really go to about my problems. I didn't once mention Corey's name but I told her about some guy issues I was having and how all the stress from school was killing me. She comforted me and gave me so much advice. I really wish she was my real mom. She treats me like I'm her daughter and it makes me happy and sad at the same time.
Where was my mom in all of this? Probably at a conference in Boston sucking her boss' dick. Yep. I said it. That is the type of person my mother is. She slept her way to the top. That is the woman that I am supposedly to aspire to be like. Give me a break.
My father is no better. Yeah he is a stock broker but he is also a major drug dealer. We're talking the heaviest of the heavy, and the drugs that only are bought by serious rich corporate scum.
Those are my parents. Wow.
. . .
Here I was, approaching the gates of hell once again.
School.
I sighed, playing with the ends of my hair subconsciously and walked towards my locker. When I got there, I felt someone come up from behind me and wrap their arms around my waist causing me to shriek slightly.
"Sorry baby, I didn't mean to scare you." Darryl whispered in my ear. I felt my blood run cold. I forced myself out of his embrace which made him sigh in frustration.
"I know Olivia, I know. I did something that was so unforgiveable to you. I am so sorry. I found out the hard way that replacing my medication with alcohol is not a good idea." Oh he, found out the hard way?
"Enlighten me how you found out the hard way Darryl because the only thing that was hard about that situation for you was your dick." I replied venomously. Where was this coming from? I should just accept his bullshit apology. NO. No. I can't be a coward forever.
Darryl's eyes widened in surprise. "Baby, words like that should never come from your lovely little mouth." Oh god what was wrong with him?
In that moment I noticed Corey just a couple lockers down from me. Was his locker that close to mine this whole time? We made eye contact briefly until I looked away to meet Darryl's eyes.
"I am so so sorry Olivia. You have to believe me. I will do anything you ask. Just please forgive me baby." I heard Corey snigger at Darryl but Darryl chose to ignore it. His eyes wouldn't leave mine. I felt another set of eyes on me, waiting on my response.
Two can play your stupid game Corey Taylor.
I pulled Darryl by the collar of his shirt in for a soft kiss.
Moments after, I heard a locker door get slammed shut and the sound of someone storming off.
Good.
That was my cue to pull away from Darryl.
"I forgive you Darryl, but I will never be able to forget what happened." I sighed. He looked sad at my answer but nodded.
"I'll never stop trying to make you happy" he answered, pecking my lips.
We both knew that was a lie.
. . .
It was now my last class of the day. Gym. Ugh.
I was so tempted to ditch but I made a promise to Lucy. Stupid me.
And that was when I felt someone grab me by my arm and pull me into the janitor's closet, causing me to shriek.
I felt a hand cover my mouth instantly and I was pressed against a very cold wall, causing goosebumps to break out all over my skin.
