{Anna}

The automatic doors swing open as me and Elsa walk inside, the sound of our heels echoing through the building.
The mall smells fresh, of new clothing and leather. "Any ideas on a present?" Elsa asks, looking around. "No," I reply. "But it can't be too hard to find something."

I feel vibrate and hear a beep coming from my purse. I unzip it and take out my phone. On the lock screen I see a text from Merida.

--------
Merida

"Who was that?" Elsa asks suspiciously.
"Just Merida," I say as I put my phone back. "She wants to meet us at some ice cream shop next to Hollister."

"Oh! I know where that is,"
"You do? I'll follow you then." Elsa heads north, and I follow.

~~~~
I see Hollister and a pink and blue kiosk in the distance, with red, curly locks standing in front of it.
"Merida!" I yell. She turns around, and sure enough, its her.
"Anna! Elsa!" She waves to us. I jog up to her, a firm grip on my sister's hand.
We get to the kiosk, where Merida is standing.
"Hey! Glad you finally made it," She folds her arms. "Had a nice little nap Elsa?"
I elbow her, smiling. I then look up at Elsa to see that she's blushing. "Can we just get some ice cream?" She asks.
~~~~

"What flavour, you two?" Merida asks, her back turned to us as she looks at the glass container with the ice cream.

"Chocolate, please." Elsa replies.
"I'll take salted caramel." I say.

Merida walks up to the cashier lady. "One chocolate, one salted caramel, and... one strawberry."

The buttons make noises as the lady pushes them, making the cash register sound old and rusty.

"$3.38." She says firmly.

I rush up to Merida.
"Here Mer, let me pay." I say, offering her four dollars.
Merida shoves me aside. "Uh uh."
I shove her aside. "Uh yes."
She shoves me aside. "Really Anna, it's okay."
I shove her aside. "You always pay!"
She shoves me aside, more firm this time. "Yes because I choose to. Look, I know it's only three dollars, but you and Elsa need it more than I do. I'll pay."
I sigh and step back, realising she's right.

The register sounds rusty again as it prints a receipt, and the lady accepts the cash.
"Thank you, come again!" She says cheerfully and bright. Merida turns around and hands us our cones.
"So," Merida takes her first lick. "What you getting Rapunzel for tonight?" I shake my head. "Don't know."

I gasp and look at Elsa. "Els, we haven't even thought about what dress we're gonna wear! This is a nightmare!" I yell.
"Anna calm down." Elsa says, grasping my shoulder. "Ick, do I have to wear a dress?" Mer says in disgust.
"Just wear that one you wore at your birthday." Elsa suggests. "Ooh, perfect!" I reply. "But what about you?" I say, looking at her with one eyebrow raised. "I.. I guess I can wear the one I wore to your birthday too."
"Tsk." I roll my eyes. "That dress has a tear. You're not wearing that." She stares at me with disapproval. "I don't have anything else."

"Then let's go buy you one after we sorted the present. Come on!" I march. "Let's go, soldiers!"
