Three days had passed since the gathering and the discovery of the wolves, and training went on as usual.
" HELP!" A voice called out from the top of the ravine. Every pair of eyes in Thunderclan instantly trained of the source of the cry, a scrawny Windclan cat. " The wolves got into our camp!"
" Ashfall, how many are there." Bramblestar demanded.
" At least ten! And they went for the nursery and elders den!" Ashfall cried as he sprinted down the ravine.
"Whiteflash, Berrynose, Heatspring, Falconswoop, Ivoryeyes, Dovewing, Ivypool, Frostpaw, Cloudpaw, lets go!" Bramblestar commanded and pounced up the sheer rock face, with every warrior he called sprinting behind him, their paws making the loose scree clatter.
As they ran Cloudpaw thought about the battle before them, cats of Windclan had already died at the jaws of the wolves, what would happen if a Thunderclan cat was killed. Did Bramblestar think this through?
The breeze brought scents of blood and Windclan as the battle patrol tumbled across the moor. The Thunderclan cats barreled into the clearing with battle howls and uncsheathed claws, glittering like lightning.
" CHARGE!" Bramblestar yowled and leapt inot the screeching mass of cats, every warrior behind him as they pounced and shredded wolves' snouts with razor sharp claws.
" You cats of the forest are fools to challenge the Lightningpack!" A brown wolf sneered as he pounced upon Cloudpaw, his reeking breath stinging her nose.
" Wrong!" Cloudpaw snarled as she snaked out of his grasp. " It is you who is the fool!"
She reared up on her hind legs and sunk her foreclaws into the flesh of the wolf, and he roared in agony.
" How dare you call me a fool?" The brown wolf snarled and fastened his yellowed teeth around her neck.
Cloudpaw could see dark specks begining to form at the rims of her vision, slowly crawling over everthing to pull her into the blackness.
" NO!" She hissed in fury, and stood to face the wolf.
Suddenly the wolf began to back away, whimpering. Cloudpaw gazed at her paws, and her heart almost skipped a beat. Her foreclaws where alight with power, sparks pounced from clawtip to clawtip.
"Slash the wolf, he won't cower forever, swipe SWIPE!" A voice in her head hissed, and she obeyed, clawing the wolf's snout with sparkling claws. Her paw connected with the wolf's eye and he screamed in warped agony. Cloudpaw gasped as she saw her paw, it was soaked in reeking blood from the wolf. It took a long while for her to gather the courage to look up at the wolf.
" AHHHHH!" Screamed the wolf as he howled out in pain. His face was horribly distorted and his eye was gone, the cavity where it was supposed to be, was simply a pool of blood, leaking down the side of his face.
Without warning, the whole scene froze, sparkling like it was made of diamonds.
" Greetings, Cloudpaw." A smooth female cat mewed from behind her.
She whirled about and arched her back, only to see a shimmering starry she-cat, whose eyes sparkeled with a deep and bright light.
" Don't growl, its rude." The glowing cat mewed as she looked Cloudpaw up and down.
" Sorry." Cloudpaw meowed meekly, and flattened her fur.
" Better, anyway, I am here to inform you that you take part in a prophecy, a prophecy that needs you." THe silver cat mewed.
" What?" Cloudpaw looked befuddled.
" You, Cloudpaw, are destined to save all of the forest." The silver tabby purred calmly." I will mentor you until you are expireanced enough."
The she-cat began to pad away into the brush.
" No!" Cloudpaw cried. " Wait, please! At least tell me your name!"
" Oh, me?" The she-cat responded. " I'm Silverstream."
