" Cloudsplash, I want you to go hunting," Squirrelflight ordered as she sat orginizing patrols from the tip of highrock," but all the other warriors are going to look throughout the forest for more wolves, so it'll be just you and Mistyheart." The ginger furred deputy flicked her tail at the she-wolf, who had been accepted into the clan, as well as her son Coalpaw.

" Alright!" Cloudsplash purred and stood up, her first hunting mission as a warrior! " Let's go Mistyheart!"

" Okay, let me finish this rabbit first." The grayish wolf  barked softly and sunk her large fangs into a mouthful of brown fluff. " Done."

Cloudsplash beckoned with her tail and the shewolf followed her through the fern tunnel. While they padded through the thick woods Mistyheart suggested they split up, they could find more prey if they took seperate roads through the thick snow. She gladly accepted, the huge she wolf made her nervous, even if she was totaly loyal to the clan.

" Okay, i'll head towards the Riverclan border if you look by Shadowclan's."  Cloudsplash meowed.

" It's a deal, if any of those rabbit hearts come near the scent line i'll give 'em a fright they wont forget in a hurry." The she-wolf neaded the snowy earth with her paws and turned in the direction of Shadowclan territory, leaping into the woods on fast paws.

Cloudsplash scented the air. The snow had muffled the scent but it was still in the air, a faint scent of squirrel. She licked her muzzle, how the elders would love that! Following the trail she pounced over a log and saw it, the squirrel was at the foot of an old oak, nawing a nut vigorously. And the young cat slipped into a hunting crouch, moving swiftly though the snowy woods she made no more of a noise than a leaf in the wind. But the second before she leaped, a jet-black shadow shot from the bracken and cought the rabbit with a slash to the throat. A worn red collar hung loosly about its neck, studded with white and pale ornaments.

" KITTYPET SCUM! THAT WAS MY PREY!" She snarled and spiked the fur on her back with a hiss." WHAT DO You....." She trailed off as the tom-cat licked the bright red blood from his long claws and stared at her with cold, ice blue eyes.

" Well, what do I?" The tom meowed, the chill in his voice was like drowning in icy water, it filled the air around her, a thick fog that choked life and hung with the scent of the dead. It was like talking to a nightmare.

" What do you think you're doing in Thunderclan territory, didn't you scent the border?" Cloudsplash snarled, regaining her composure.

" Yes, I noticed it, and it didn't quite smell like catmint if I do say so myself." The cat meowed silkily. " Infact I sought it out, it has been a long time since I smelt Thunderclan."

" Who are you? And what is your buisness here?" Cloudspash demanded.

" I am Scourge. And you are Cloudsplash, great- great- great- grandkit of my mortal enemy."  Scourge hissed and reared up on his battle scarred hind legs.

" You killed Frostpaw!" Cloudsplash roared and flung her body at the tom, who nimbly dodged by her talons like he did this every day. He hissed and curled his claws into her flank, and a lightningbolt of agony raced through her, pounding in her ears.

" YOU DESERVE TO DIE!"  Cloudsplash snarled and her claws lit up, sparking and arching in long, bright static. She slashed his muzzle, leaving a singed scar raw and red in the skin above his nose.

"I don't have time for this." Scourge growled and flicked his tail, his cool cover slipping.

" Get out!" Cloudsplash lunged and slit his throat, black smoke came tumbling out but the wound just seemed to mend, leaving an ugly scar marring his fur.

" I'll be back, and no clan will survive to see the end." Scourge hissed and disolved into a burst of black smoke, curling away into the sky.
