Katherine's POV:
I fiddled with the zip of my gown, trying really hard, to zip it up before breaking it. Leto helped me up.

The gown I was wearing, was utterly and disbelievingly beautiful. It was a blood red, strapless gown. It showed off enough cleavage. The upper half was embroidered with black roses, which gave it a dangerously beautiful look.

Leto messed with my hair. Curling it up into a bun, quite a loose one though. She left a few random strands of my hair, fall around my face. I was quite satisfied with the looks. I applied a little bit of mascara, and a reddish lipgloss to match with my dress. I was done and ready for the ceremony.

I looked at leto, "Do I look ok? I mean, for the ceremony?"

"You look amazing...Miss. Morgan. Guys are going to swoon over you tonight." She squealed.

"Oh...that sounds quite convincing." I smiled, and walked out of my room.

Scott's POV:
Adjusting my tuxedo, for the billionth time tonight, I walked over to my mom and dad.

"Are all the guests in? Can I go upstairs now?" I questioned my mother.

"You have to stay here son...atleast till the ceremony is done. You may go up before the drinks are served. Now go and...
Oh..Mr. Parish. Its so nice to see you. Its been so long that you visited." Father answered my question, and then walked over to some other guest.

One thing about my dad, that I liked was, that he knew where to be a gentleman, where to be a king, and where to be a father.

"Scott... Dear, could you join us a minute hear." My mom called, from where my father stood with Mr. Parish.

I walked over.

"Hello there...scott. You've surely grown a lot since the last time I saw you. Here, meet Amelia, my daughter." He gave me a warm smile, simultaneously moving to the side, revealing a white blonde head.

She was staring directly at me for quite a while. So I decided to start a conversation, as our parents moved to other guests. I had to admit, she was the most beautiful guest I had come across, tonight.

Here long white blonde hung on her shoulders, and cascaded down her back. Her eyes were big and a deep sea blue, quite mesmerizing. Her lips were full, and definitely kissable, I has to give her that.

"Hey Amelia. Its nice to meet you."

"Its nice to meet you too..." She had a sweet voice, "...after so long." She added hesitantly.

"Oh...have we met before? I don't seem to remember much..."

"It was quite a long time before...I didn't expect you to remember it. When you were 200 years old."

"Oh...how do you remember our last meet then?"

"Well...I never really forgot that...not you and not our meet." She blushed a little, and that hit a certain memory in my head.

"You blush quite a lot" I chuckeled, kissing her neck. "Umm...maybe" she blushed again.
I left a trail of kisses down her neck, as my mouth devoured the feel of her soft skin against my mouth.

"Oh...our meeting was quite a lot of things in one single meet." I chuckeled.

"Yeah...I wanted to meet you so badly. But, dad never had time. I missed you. Did you miss me too?"

"Umm...maybe.." If I would have missed her, I would at least remember who she was, no, I hadn't missed her.

A faint but familiar scent hit my nostrils.

Strawberries... My mind functioned faster, in recognizing the human smell.

Just like everyone in the room, my head turned towards the stairs.

In a room full of vampires, it was quite easy to smell a human, so everyone knew, a human was here.

As my eyes took in her appearance, my non-existent breathing hitched.

She looked devastatingly beautiful, and I knew, every guy in the room wanted her in their bed. A tinge of jealousy made its way into my chest.

Kasper walked over to her, held her hand, and brought her down the next few steps.

I turned away from her, and towards Amelia to control the overflowing jealousy inside my chest.

"Who's she? Doesn't look like some ordinary human slave.. Is she his mate?" Amelia gave me a quizzical look.

"No. She's not 'his' mate." I snapped at her, and felt sorry instantly.

"I am sorry..I dont like talking about her so much. She's just kept at a hostage. Kasper is always with her, he protects her pretty little neck from the drooling mouths of other vampires." I shrugged.

"He might as well be securing her neck for himself. She's beautiful. Look at the Kasper's staring at her. He sure has a thing for her." She giggled.

"Whatever...it isn't our business. We better get ourselves in on each other..rather than other people." I shifted towards her, placing my hand on her waist, I moved her towards the bar, or better say, moved myself away from  where Kasper stood with Kate, his hand resting on her lower back.

I and Amelia talked for quite a while, drinking the toxicated blood. I already felt tipsy.

"You look drunk. Shall I take you to bed?"

"Oh..well..is the ceremony over?"

"No...not yet...midnights just a little away. But, I thought.. You could use some rest." She  looked concerned.

People started getting excited as midnight swerled closer. A faint churning sensation aroused in my chest. Slowly it grew more like my blood vessels were being squeezed, like my body would spill out all my insides. I could no longer sit there.

Stumbling and walking into a few vampires, I moved towards the stairs. Glancing at the stage, I could see my father, drink from my mothers neck, others cheered and followed the action of their rulers.

I grabbed the marble stair, under me, as my foot felt too heavy to be lifted for another step.

"Ahh..." I groaned, struggling too hard to get the few more steps to my room. Finally I reached my door, clutching the door knob too hard, I  stumbled forward into my bed.

I rolled over my back. The pain seemed to be tearing every part of my body into pieces. That moment, I wished I was dead, not just dead but also buried, once and for all.
