Chapter 19 : Suna Ninja 'What happened in my past?'

Sasuke's POV (after Ashley's death)

"Sasuke... Sasuke... Not you too... Please... Please!!" My eyes flickered open to the feeling of drops of water on my face. "Wha... huh?" I managed to splutter. "Oh my god! Sasuke your awake!! Thank God!" I was suddenly embraced in a hug. "S-sakura...?" I ask confused. As a responce, she released me from her hug and tears were starting to well up. "Maddy... She's... she's..." Sakura couldn't get the sentence out.

"She's what, Sakura?" I ask worriedly. "She's... She's dead!" Sakura burst into tears as she held her face in her hands and I sat upright. -Not a good idea- my body was aching all over. The needles had been removed probably by Sakura. "Dead? But... why?!" I looked at all my teammates and spotted the 2 enemies of ours. The boy in the mask was carrying Madeline. "Why's he carrying Madeline?!" I scolded, jumping to my feet and grabbing a kunai."Maddy ... wanted them to... be legal shinobi of the leaf... they are going to do... a-as she s-says..." Sakura sobbed. Legal shinobi? I dropped my kunai making a clinking noise on the blood stained floor causing the rest to loook at me.

"SASUKE YOUR AWAKE 'ttebayo!!!" Naruto ran over and enveloped me in a hug. "uh..." I grunted as the boy in the mask took off the mask. The hole I spotted in Maddy's chest made me wanna puke. The ... poor ... girl. My heart clenched and felt like it was shattering. She was a special one... She was the only girl who never fangirled over me and, I appreciated that. She was a fun companion to have glaring or sarcasm wars. She was... interesting. Made me happy at times I didn't know that I could be happy... Now... she's gone... I felt my body shake as small tears slid down my cheeks. I wiped my tears and clenched my fists. I lost someone else thats important to me to death...

Ashley's POV (present)

"Finally! I can see them again!!" I smiled as Kira and I sped there. 'Who was that lil' puppy back there? Aka... Aka... Akamiru?' Kira asked me thoughtfully. "No, it's Akamaru." I responded, dogding the villagers. We were going so fast that we seemed like just a breeze to them. They probably didn't know someone ran past them.

The minute I neared the area, I could see Sakura , Naruto and some of Konohamaru's friends. "Oh it's time for this!!" I cheered. I laughed a bit as Naruto yelled at Kankuro to release Konohamaru. Apparently I was still out of their sight and my chakra was kinda 'hidden'. Or too low to be picked up by them. Kankuro and Temari didn't notice my presence either. Apparently when I was 'dead' the block had been replaced. On the way back I managed to chip off parts of it. Still, plenty chakra flowed out.

I jumped into a nearby tree with clear view of everything. Kira followed silently. As Kankuro was about to punch Konohamaru, I used my kekkei genkai to throw a small, sharp stone at Kankuro's hand, drawing blood.

Kankuro yelped and released his grip on Konohamaru who dropped and stumbled back to his worried teammates(Or friends whichever works). I sent out a really strong chakra spike, causing Sakura and Naruto to stumble in my direction which meant toward Kankuro. Surprised, he stepped back and the earth tripped him. Hehe... my bad^^. "Maddy!!" Naruto and Sakura yelled as I hopped out of the tree. "What's going on..?" Temari asked, confused. "Bah! A show-off huh? You pissed me off ya'know?! I'm gonna let it go since you a... pretty chick and all but the next time, you better watch -" Kankuro was interrupted. "Your back!" Naruto smiled his goofy smile.

"Yeah, just don't bury me 6 ft underground next time, kay? It was suffocating!" I replied pretending to choke. "You idiots buried your teammate alive?" Temari asked, shocked. "They sure did..." I nodded, "Hi Temari and Kankuro!!" They paused a while before the obvious question came out, "How do you know our names?!" They asked together. "I just do. You guys are sand ninja, here for the Chunin Exams which we will be participating in too. Temari I love your big fan technique and Kankuro, crow is amazing! How long did you spend on him? Oh by the way, Sakura explain to Naruot what the Chunin Exams are about." I blabbered.
