3rd Person POV

Before Sasuke could jump and catch the falling girl, a mysterious person had jumped out of the trees, caught her and ran off. Without letting some stranger go off with her, he gave chase. No one,

And he meant no one,

is gonna take away his teammate in such a vulnerable state.

He'd followed after her stealthily, following her all the way to the training grounds. The girl must've be too tired to feel that she was being followed. He ducked behind a bush as he had felt another presence arrive.

It was that Uchiha boy. Sasuke. He had watched as the raven crept toward the turquoise haired girl as she sat on a high branch, enjoying the peace and tranquility of the village.

He had watched as the two teased with each other. Was that how friends play?

Gaara looked around the place as he lowered a sleeping Ashley to the floor. He didnt know what came over him as He leapt to catch her, before Sasuke. The girl had snuggled into his arms as He ran.

He couldn't help but feel that this was right. That this was supposed to be. Like the many years ago.

He was certain that no one else knew that she had one of the 10 tailed beast within her. The most powerful of them all. Was within her. He doubt she had told anyone.

That Sasuke, seemed to have feelings for his long lost friend, looking after her and trying to cheer her up. Though he may be mad at her, he couldn't let her be injured. She was the only person he wouldn't dare hurt.

His heart felt numb. Long ago was when he felt feelings. He hadn't been able to feel for a long time. It was alien to him. After his mother's death, Ashley - or Tsukiko , as he knew her - had been the only one who lifted his feelings.

Now he couldn't even feel. No evidence of emotion on his face as he stared down at the pretty teenager in front of him. He should take her home.

"Sasuke..." She murmured and she stirred in her sleep, catching Gaara's attention.

Behind him, a wall of sand went up high into the sky, protecting them from the explosive kunais. He turned and looked toward Sasuke, who was eager to get the girl back.

Ashley's POV

I stretched as I awoke in my bed.

Wait- my bed? Wasn't I... Didn't I... Wasn't I falling from the branch to the floor? Didn't I go out last night?

Kira walked up to me and smiled, "Some redhead brought you home about an hour ago, why didn't you wake me up when you went out?"

"sorry..." I murmured, "Does Kakashi know?" Kira shook her head as I let out a relieved sigh. "Kira... Let's... Wash up. I've somewhere to go." She nodded and I headed to the toilet.
