Chapter 35 : Damnit

I squat and continue to watch the ongoing scene in front of me. All I see is Sasuke doing his best to regain composure and he is panting incredibly hard. He is exhausted from the fight. He may be a great ninja but he still has many things to learn. If I were him, I wouldn't put my guard down that easily.

As for Orochimaru's new body, he is slumped on the strings. The strings unable to bear the weight of this body, allowed it to come free. Sasuke looks up to where he knew I was. I shake my head and when Sasuke looks forward, his eyes begin to widen. We see that Orochimaru has put his hands together, the skin from his face had began peeling which reminded me of a snake during its molting stage.

Suddenly, Sakura falls to her knees and Sasuke finds himself unable to move. "I'm impressed that you can use your sharingan so well at this age," Orochimaru began talking as I slightly narrow my eyes at him, "You live up to the name Uchiha. I want you afterall."

"You two are definately brothers. Your eyes say that you carry more potential than Itachi."

Upon hearing his brother's name, Sasuke glares upwards and questions, "Who are you?!"

Throwing up our heaven scroll, he answers, "My name is Orochimaru. If you wish to see me again, get through this exam as though your life depended on it." At this point our heaven scroll began to burn up in green flames. "In other words, you'll have to defeat 3 of my subordinates, the three Sound ninja."

"What nonsense are you chattering about? We never want to see your face again!" Sakura yells in response as Sasuke still remains standing there, paralysed.

Orochimaru grins to which I have to look away, "It doesn't work that way," At this point in time I would have made an appearance under any kind of circumstances apart from this. I never expected myself to be feeling so fearful of the man in front.

Orochimaru forms a handsign and his neck elongates at an incredible speed. The time is NOW!  His head aims directly for Sasuke which I gasp in quick response. I jump out from where I'm hiding and run directly into its path and as a reaction, Orochimaru's eyes widen and the head stops directly in front of my face. I assume that if I can't die and if I can heal, I should be able to get rid of his mark.

"What's this?" He says in his slithering voice which I am growing to dread, "I'm sure you and I have met before." I swallow my saliva. I didn't have a plan for this! Well I used to but under such circumstances, my plan has completely been destroyed.

"You've finally made an appearance after all these years,"

Sakura stares at me, "Ashley what in the world is he talking about?"

I spare a glance towards Sakura, unsure as to whether I should reply her or remain silent. It was as though I was afraid that my voice would further give away who I am.

"My, my, my Tsukiko. You've grown." He hisses.

I break out of my own fear and stare him directly in the eyes, " I don't know you. You are not going to get my teammate! " To which I form some hands signs and yell, "Triple whirlwind, windstyle jutsu!" 3 wind tunnels fly towards Orochimaru and he flies to another tree branch, his head having retracted to his body.

What are you doing, you naive little girl?! Use your kekkei genkai to kill him NOW! I hear Goku scream and rattle its cage doors. Stop playing with him! I fall to my knees, the pain in my head growing stronger and I feel my body heating up with the heat coming from directly behind my neck. "What.. is this?!" I scream, the heat was searing.

"Ashley! He didn't even touch you! Is he using one of his genjutsu again?!" Sakura pipes up to which I shake my head. I feel Orochimaru sneak up from behind, ready to prepare another attack. Sasuke was still in a state of shock, I don't expect him to be able to dodge another attack. I form a clone behind Sasuke and I begin to run around Sasuke and Sakura in an attempt to confuse Orochimaru who was the real me. When I stopped running, there were 5 other clones of mine.

"Clever." Orochimaru grins, "But now that you've shown your chakra levels, there is no mistaking that it is you!" His head lurches at every single one of my clones, avoiding me and my clones disappear in a puff of smoke. My hopes rose, perhaps a deep dark thought of mine appears. He is able to tell me about my past. If I go with him.. I'll be able to learn about myself.

In my state of realization, I look up and realize that the shadow I was standing in was Orochimaru as he was standing directly in front of me, looking down. "It's been 7 years. Now that the Akatsuki have one of the most powerful clan child in history, I shall have the other." He smirks with satisfaction, " I can see you are lost, child." He puts his hands on each of my shoulders, "You are smart enough to know that following me, you'll learn far greater things and everything of who you used to be. I see your mother has finally been able to draw you back from that dimension."

"If you know me that well, I should be more precious than Sasuke. Leave him, take me." I grit my teeth and look up at him. He chuckles in an evil smirk, "Ah yes, Takeda. Though you are the most powerful, I still need a new vessel."

"Use me instead." I urge to which he shakes his head and hisses, "Unfortunately, my dear. I can't." I drop my guard and with confused eyes, I question.

"But, you should know, you're already mine." His hand trails behind my neck and slightly down my shirt. His cold, slithery hands were giving me goosebumps but I was in such a state of confusion that I simply stood there. His hand moves as though he was brushing something off my back but suddenly the searing heat returned, more painful than before. I scream and fall to my knees, to which Orochimaru jumps to another branch and laughs loudly, "I see you didn't know about my seal. Goodbye Tsukiko, until we meet again."

My vision goes black and I feel my body fall to the ground. I hear Sakura scream my name in horrification but the last thing I hear before I pass out was Sakura screeching, "No! Sasuke-Kun!" And Sasuke's screams of pain embodied my dark, unconcious mind.
