Chapter 28: Forest of Death

Releasing a mild evil chuckle, Anko tells us,"You will be able to experience why this place is called the Forest of death."

Naruto mocks her before he says," There's no point in trying to scare us like that ! I'm not scared at all!"

Instead of looking angry with Naruto, Anko smiles and replied casually," Really? You sure are energetic." Her eyebrows furrow quickly and she throws a kunai at Naruto, narrowly missing him by a centimetre or two. However the Kunai still drew blood. She immediately appears behind Naruto and comments,"Boys like you die the fastest. After spilling out that red blood I love all over the place."

Anko suddenly swirls around to see a woman with a long tongue looming over her, using her tongue to grasp anko's kunai, it was the same strange woman Goku was ranting on about.  The stranger says,"Here is your kunai."

Anko smiles and says a short thanks before saying cheerfully,"But don't stand behind me like that. That is unless you want to die young."

That is when it hit me.

'Orochimaru!' I gasp as I recall the evil who claimed another body.

Now you know who I was referring to...

Orochimaru in another body quickly retracts his tongue,"Well, I get itchy when I see blood. Also, my precious hair was cut so I got a little excited." He then stalks off.

'Sadist.' I clench my fists to try and prevent myself from reacting out in anger towards Orochimaru in disguise.

"Looks like there are a lot of hot headed people here today." Anko smirks,"This is going to be interesting."

"Before we begin the Second exam, I'm going to pass this out to everyone."

Anko produces a set of consent forms from her sleeve.

"These are consent forms,"She explains,"Those taking this exam must sign these. From here on, people will die. Therefore we need people's consent before we continue. Otherwise I'd be held responsible. Now I will begin the explanation of the second exam."

I tense as I hear someone move behind me. These footsteps are quick.

"To be concise, you will all go through an extreme survival match. I will explain the training areas geographical features. The 44th training area is a circular region surrounded by 44 locked gate entrances. There's a river, a forest and a tower in the middle. The tower is approximately 10km away from the gates. Inside this limited space, you will have to go through and certain survival programme . A competition where anything goes... Over these scrolls. The scroll of heaven and the scroll of the earth. You will fight over these scrolls. 26 teams in total passed the first exam. Half the teams will get the scroll of heaven. The other half will get the scroll of the earth. Each team will get 1. simply, you have to fight over these. Bring the scrolls of heaven and earth to the tower with your teammates. Only half the total number of teams here will get through. This second exam has a limit if 120 hours or exactly 5 days. The forest is a treasure box of nature. There should be plenty of food."

"However..." Kabuto pops in, "There are a lot of man eating beasts, poison bugs and poisonous plants."

"Also, it's not possible for 13 teams or, 39 people, to pass." Neji .

"As time passes, you are forced to move more . so, the time to rest your body will become shorter. This seems quite rough." Lee.

"And we're surrounded by enemies. We won't be able to sleep in peace." Sasuke.

"People will get hurt in the process of fighting over a scroll and those who cannot bear this programs strictness will emerge as well." Anko.

"Excuse me, are we allowed to quit halfway?" Shikamaru asks.
